I think I still prefer his radio performances because Galton and Simpson could create more imaginative storylines and of course, the classic cast (Jacques, Kerr and Williams).
I've got the box set now.Like you say it's unfortunate some episodes are lost. I think the BBC did that with some other programmes. Still, i've got 36 odd episodes of Hancock to enjoy!!
One of the classics and I was a bit surprised nobody has commented on it before. First heard this when I was at school and was introduced to Hancock by an English Master. I have this and the blood donor on LP plus DVD now and still love listening to Hancock. 40 years since his passing, thanks for posting, from one old radio ham talking about another...

It was on here, but was removed because of copyright violation.
There's a 8 DVD 50th anniversary set out for about £25. Unfortunately 17 episodes are lost :(
