Srill, it's not enough to wait to be made perfect after you get to heaven. Jesus said, "Go, and sin no more," and it is understood that all of us are to obey that command, before getting into heaven.

It is obedience to that command that will make us perfect, and the resultant perfection that will qualify us for entry into heaven.

I'm not bashing hoover4000...I am just a frustrated individual who does not see the humor in making light of being fat...Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, “Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.” So, why does this Ken Davis character come out and make everyone think it's o.k. to be fat?? Why is their so much emphasis within the church of the dangers of sex, alcohol, and money, yet gluttony is quickly passed over?

I don't have anything against fat people, but I do think people are too judgmental. A glutton is someone who is terrible greedy. That means money - alcohol - food- and anything else. Just because a person is fat does not automatically classify them as a glutton. If a person is rich, it does not mean they are a glutton. Before we can say that someone is guilty of gluttony, we have to know that person not by just judging how they look.

@mathiue777 being fat is a sin? because being fat couldn't possibly be genetical in nature, or a medical disorder, right? while gluttony can certainly make someone fat, please remember that GLUTTONY (self-indulgently overeating) is the sin, not simply being fat.

@pompasmurf yes i agree there are m edical conditions, like some men have high E2 or cortisol which locks them into the bondage of obesity, i know what it is like. but if you eat healthy and exercise 5 days a week there is nothing that can hold you back

there is a stereotype of fat people that if they are fat they sit there & eat & eat. yes, some do. but there is some that are fat from a medical condition or genetics. just because someones fat does not mean they over eat or a "glutton" trust me. i'm fat and i have a problem with not eating enough. God still loves me and yes I am a sinner as we all are, but not cause i'm fat, that's for sure. In my opinion, it sounds like shallow minded people hiding behind scripture
