Although Keaton isn't nearly as built and as physically strong as Bale, his Batman is more direct, badass, cool and intelligent. I still love the Burton films the most, as it actually is taking the old comics and bringing to real life. Nolan's Batman is new, and bringing Batman to the modern day, which is a great update for the Bats.

In Detective Comics #27 Batman actually lets the main villain fall into a pool of acid and die, doing little to help him. Batman even broke another one of his Golden Rules and used a gun. I find it quite funny how riled up you are getting over the opinion of one anonymous voice on the internet, to the point of swearing. Like it or not, Chris Bale isnt the one infallible definition of Batman.

If only Bale as Batman was at least as gothic as Keaton as Batman, than Bale would easily outscore Keaton. Because Nolan`s movies are more dramatic and realistic, whereas Burton made Batman look like a hero which he is actually not. He is a saint and a true knight. So Burton`s Batman films are still great but not dramatic or realistic enough. It`s more like action reaction thing: Bad guys commit bad actions and Batman arrives and punishes bad guys. Burton and Nolan have two entirely different visions, I really can't compare. I like Nolan's realistic and modern take on Batman better but I hate how he's embarrassed of Batman being a comic book superhero like in The Dark Knight, there were no bats or batarangs. Batman Begins was perfect, it was well-balanced, not too realistic and not too fantastical. As for Keaton versus Bale, I'm going to go with Bale as Bruce Wayne but I prefer Keaton's dark, gritty, anti-hero Batman (minus the killing).

What Nolan did was try to make a realistic Batman story. His movies aren't just super heros fighting their arch nemesis.
