Another reason for the decline in Jews was because of conversion to Christianity. St. Thomas the Apostle converted Jews in Kerala. The disciples are the ones that went out to spread the word of Christ to the Jews first and then the gentiles. The first Christians were actually Jewish which people always tend to forget.
