  • Currently in the Air Force. This is probably the most realistic commercial (even if it is a parody) to what I actually do! XD

  • @Archertom It will get better!

  • Go AF! I'm in and love it.

  • sound bout right to me but more of sweeping and moping if u ask me. lol

  • i can't pee when they watch

  • No SMSgts were harmed in making this video.

  • this is the most realalistic video on the air force i've ever seen!!!!

  • Haha, yeah it kinda is

  • AHAHAHAHAHAAHA had me rollin in the first 2 seconds

  • LMAO. Classic troops, classic!

  • This is still so funny. There's so much material to work with. Like trying to fold the shirt into a perfect square in BMT. Or picking up cigarette butts, or the First Sargent pointing out the one whisker you missed while shaving.

  • Haha chAir Force.

  • this shit is just like all branches really and the airforce has it made compared to the army if u wanna work on planes join the af im from baumholder germany and i drive to ramstein and them airforce people have it made compared to us

  • Christ, I have done all of that in the air force, Minus the sweeping of the airfield. No I;ve done something greater than that, I have swept sidewalks from bird poo!

  • Hey better than being shot at lol

  • YES! THIS IS THE REAL AIRFORCE, LOL

  • hahahaha great. love how u guys had the drug test part in their hahah

  • Drop and give me 20 urine samples!

  • @jgq85 That's a lot of piss lol

  • My other option is to repair UH-60 Black hawk helicopters in the Army. What do you guys think? I plan on making a career out of either the Army or the Air Force.

  • @originalbeastchick I say Air Force. I worked Pavehawks in the AF and it was fun, simple, and a lot cleaner than MH-53s which are no longer around.

  • @originalbeastchick air force

  • I am planning on going into the air force next year, and I want to become a mechanic. The Air Force isn't really like this is it? I hope not...

  • @originalbeastchick No this is just a parody. Yes you have details, yes they harp on safety to the extreme (reflective belts everywhere!) and yes they will watch you pee when you take a drug test. You wont sweep the flightline though..or direct parking as long as you are not a 'noner"

  • @ZyklonPsyklon I work the flightline and i HAVE directed parking for air shows and ive also did alot of sweeping / picking up trash and working the snackbar. But this was all before i got certified.....oh how i miss the days of being non certified. Weapons HUA!!!!

  • @ZyklonPsyklon

u might not sweep the flight line but sweeping a gigantic heavies hanger by yourself when its really windy out is just as bad :<

  • @ZyklonPsyklon Maybe they don't sweep it at *your* base...

  • @ZyklonPsyklon I think you got that backwards. You won't sweep the flightline or direct parking if you are a noner. All we get in maintance is the shaft. If you do go Air Force don't go maintance.

  • @originalbeastchick it is somewhat like this when there is nothing else to do "real" workwise. i am a maintainer in the air force, i work backshop for ac 130s. usually if youre a senior airman or below you will be the one cleaning. once you make staff sergeant you can make lower ranking airman do whatever you want them to do!

  • @originalbeastchick Uh, there are times in tech school when you get put on 'details' and life sucks. You slowly begin to lose your mind. However, those times should be short. Some poor chucklers get their orders screwed up and are stuck on details for months. Poor souls.

  • @originalbeastchick If the base is having a Air Show you'll be parking cars. I just gone through that shit and it sucked. 100 Airmen parking cars and keeping people from breaking into cars.......some people do NOT know how to drive.

  • @originalbeastchick Dont go Mechanical...It sucks! You will hate your life after about 2 years!

  • @originalbeastchick Naw man im a Ssgt in the AF and have been for the last 6 years, its a great job. Where else can you go to work and run jet engines balls to the walls in burner and know you helped to keep thoses fighters flying.

  • bahahaha...I'm air force and I find nothing wrong with this.

  • LOL I love this video. I always said I was an underpaid technician; and overpaid janitor.

  • LMAO! i REALLY cant wait to go in now! I ship to BMT on May 4th

  • Alright A1C does do alot of that!! haaha I'm laughing my ass off right now! haha, to get stuff straight, we only do that at the end of the shift! thank's for all the credit though!! you forgot about the countless hours we sit around.. J-kidding, only lower ranks do what is posted,.. everyone else works pretty hard in my shop! haha funny though!!!

  • man doing details sucks so bad that was something my recruiter forgot to mention lmao haha

  • thats one of my supervisors on the paper jam lol hahaha

  • What kind of unit are you in and what's your AFSC? Most A1C's do this kind of stuff every day they come into work.

  • I love when the guy says "they all believe they have the best job in the world" as he's screwing on the lid. But seriously demand reduction SUCKS and they REALLY do look at your dick lol. I don't look forward to that again.

  • Im a combat controller in the USAF and i gaurentee ive been to Afghanistan and have seen more fighting that most marines.

  • @WeFinishTheFight

No your not. My brother is a 1C2X1. If your were you wouldn't be trying to get recognition on the internet with a profile that says your 18.

  • lol

  • i think this is funny and i'm in the Air Force, come on, what fun is there if we can't poke fun at the other branches and you can't poke fun if you can't laugh at yourself first

  • Agreed! In the Air Force also...and I think it's funny house people are still calling us Chair Force....lol..if you can't laugh about something....you're going to end up flipping out like "wefinishthefight." He has the Combat Controller psycho attitude....yeesh...brag much?

  • when i scored an 88 on my ASDVAB my liason was like "WELCOME TO THE CHAIR FORCE" lol he was such a jackass..

  • airforce does fight in iraq and afganastan we are all over the globe..maybe you should have researched or asked someone that knows and you would have found that airforce actually has special operations..Combat Control (what im intending to pursue), Pararescue, and Tactical Air Control Party (TACP)

  • I was in AFSOC..

  • Don't forget, the air force is actually sending over security forces also...not to mention that the convoys are normally driven by our transportation forces also...

  • HUA!

  • Why does every branch always hate the other branches. I'm in the Air Force and I would be happy to work along side any branch. Guess that's just me. Air Force HUA!

  • hua

  • air force is not better than any other service that is just my opinion that it is, we just function differently than the other services, the airforce is more of a career than a thrust jab and shoot job.

  • so if there the best then why dont we send them to fight in iraq?

  • the airforce does have infantry it's just we are more based around the technichal part of war, not so much flying but more air defense, missiles, engineering jobs

  • wow you're dumb.

  • an airforce sergeant lost his life sept. 3, 2009 near ( i think) dan bar they are in iraq they are in afghanistan, they are in china, japan , and im sure they are doing doing recon. in iran better thank those guys keppin you safe

  • Was this filmed at Luke AFB?

  • nope, Edwards AFB, CA

  • Thanks for the info!

  • well shit arent u lucky u must kiss alot of ass

  • lol this is funny

  • ROFL thats funny as shit. Sometimes I wish I had a NON-ER job !

  • Come on now. The Air Force is already the subject of too many jokes. Dont give any more fuel to the Jar Heads.

  • Yeah this is crap... I'm sure some people, probably with really low asvab scores and who went in under open general get these kinds of jobs. I'm a SERE Specialist and... it's great.

  • First off..the chances of you being in the AF...slim. Refering to yourself as a SERE Specialist? ANYONE who has been in the Air Force longer than tech school or delayed enlistment (probably you) knows this is a knock on the BS that comes in the AF. And believe me, the piss in the cup..that isn't a joke. Youll get your chance at Fairchild if you are even in the military.

  • i pissed in a cup at meps lol and i would never ever never ever join SERE.. but then again i scored an 88.. but zyklon is right i doubt your in the force.. 90% of ppl who enlist dont get in 12% of the ppl who do dont make it through basic.. its sad but tru

  • @SexGunsNPhotoshop i think your just a bitch... haha pussy, no explanation needed

  • hahahahaha soooooo true, unless you got a cool job like combat comm or pararescue

  • The Air Show parking scene at the end made me crack up.

  • lolol i appreciate our military but this is funny

  • ah, all well too on point. i am, an expert janitor...my afsc is my extra duty. i can't believe this video used to piss me off, now i understand. sadly. whatever, we all go through it.

  • this doesn't lower moral. it lowers moral doing it not watching it. I was an A1C when this came out and we all thought it was funny. more accurate then any AF commercial out there. I remember my first week as an E5 getting stuck on that piss test detail

  • It's YOU'RE. It's comments like these that make me smile, because the future of our street walkers depend on people like you!

  • It's vids like this that lower morale, and are usually made by people who signed up not thinking about what they were doing, and taking out their frustration on the Air Force. Nobody held your hand and made you sign those papers, so stop whining. I personally don't want to fight beside someone with this kind of attitude in a firefight.

  • This is a video made by maintainers who are poking fun at all the silly crap you have to do. If you were in the Air Force you would probably understand this. And if you are, well you just don't have a sense of humor. You probably get picked on a lot during deployments.

  • Are you in the Air Force?

  • I used to be. I did eight years. That is where I got this video. It was emailed around back in 2000 I think. Lots of people got in trouble for having it on their AF email accounts. Its just poking fun of snack bar duty, and random BS. The drug screening one is funny. The perks of being a Staff Sergeant, watching people piss..

  • Alright then. I do have a sense of humor, it's just that I think civilians would get the wrong idea from this video. The AF personnel get a kick out of it because as an airman you do have to do crap like that, but the majority of the AF isn't all details and paper jams. We all do our part , but I just get annoyed when people have the matching attitude along with videos like this. You, however, seem to have a good head on your shoulders and I appreciate your service. I'm still Active Duty.

  • Those guys doing the Golden Flow -- their sideburns are way out of reg!!

  • just great.

  • man fuck this video

  • Nah!! This is not really the REAL AIRFORCE. I did not see anyone "skating" to the BX or interesting remote parts of the base. In my case, Vandenberg AFB had 98,400 Acres of skateland. AND... anonymous2you, for me, Lackland was like going to a Boyscout camp. Was easy and fun! EVERY DAY I played my own mind games with the Drill Instructors. If one can't get through USAF Bootcamp there is a SERIOUS problem.

    3702th Fight 102 Lackland

    3775th Sheppard

    392 Comm Group Vandenberg

  • For those that don't think the USAF is boot camp or not like the "real" military, here's a bit of info.

Congress puts together a team every 3 years (Called the Triennial review) that inspects every branch's basic training each year.

The last 2 (2004, 2007) have come out the same:

**Discipline- Air Force has the toughest program. Harder requirements earlier in training.

  • Congress puts together a team every 3 years (Called the Triennial review) that inspects every branch's basic training each year.

The last 2 (2004, 2007) have come out the same:

**Physical fitness- Air Force has the toughest program. Other branches provide 2 minutes to complete pushups and situps. Air Force gives one minute, and only requires 5 less repetitions.

  • Congress puts together a team every 3 years (Called the Triennial review) that inspects every branch's basic training each year.

The last 2 (2004, 2007) have come out the same:

**Academic training- Air Force has the toughest program. The Army and Marines place all academics at the beginning of training. Then they test on them prior to moving to another phase. The Air Force incorporates academics throughout, and tests after 7 weeks.

  • wow. that pisses me off.

  • ok these kind of vids piss me off

  • @SirBenjamin88: Why does this piss you off? This clip is obviously made by aircraft maintainers. Details like this are done at the end of every 12-hour shift. I was an avionics specialist at Davis-Monthan and had similar experiences. They left out "FOD walks" cleaning toilets, waxing vehicles, "wash rack," and mopping huge piles of pigeon shit off hanger floors. We did this uncomplaining because it was our job but no one thought it was glamorous.

  • wash rack and FOD walk sucked. Especially since I was Comm/Nav..I was above that stuff!

  • @iraz82

i remember when i first got this in my email at the kun! (kunsan korea)

it is and ever will be one om my favorite spam mail! there has to be a maintainer video fod walks, tire checks, hydraulic oil spills, rurry up and wait! i miss it!

  • better than the civilian work which is a joke, your pay raises are less than the inflation rate most times, and your petted on the back for a "job well done, keep working off it pays!!" LMAO then you see people selling drugs making $1000 a weeks, no leading by example in the civilian world, the example is get what you can legally rip off someone else, and play pretend....civilian work is a joke and people behavior nowadays most certainly refect it

  • Thats da life on the other side of the flight line. Crew Chiefs run it. We work 12s or more in the elements covered in hydro, fuel, and oil. F-15 Crew Cheif.

  • im going to do crew chief, can wait..

  • 0:41-0:56...I've had to do that job...

  • Did you ever have someone that couldn't piss? I wanna join but i know I couldn't w/out flushing turning faucet on making as much noise as pos. etc. ...closing my eyes lol

  • Same here, but my LOR and UIF from my younger days gets me out of it now.

  • This video is true.

  • uhh no its not

  • LOL! the saftey glasses at :20-:24 so damn true.

  • Great video, damn I remember doing all that shit for some damn EPR bullets lol

  • Removed 20 paper jams in 1 week!!! Promote Now!!!

  • Im not saying that this video is true or false. All this means is that whoever joins the airforce is smarter than those who join other services. the pay grade for all the services are the same. so you may be a marine off at war being shot at, but im getting paid the same as you. HA

  • That guy pushing the broom on the flight line looked just like the broom we have at work. LOL

  • if yall have any q's on the service chat with me.... I'm in the service and use to work in the recruiters office so I know the BS... but my life is nothing at all like this... I may be what yall losers call a "noner" but thats ok I have plenty of those work on the flight line.

  • I signed for 4 years, as an e-2 to start out with (1 year of college). Security forces, ship out for BMT August 18th. Enjoy your memorial day everyone.

  • Is the air force really that bad? and all of you who say it is what did you score on your asvab?

  • Nice Parody. That was humorous in some kind of way. Good Job.

  • Best Sling Blade impersonation.... "I wanna get baptised...mmm hmm"

  • YESS this video rocks. that video sums it all up, piss test and all.

    552 ACW HOOYA AWACS

  • This video is somewhat accurate. I'm actually in the AF and whether you're working on the flightline or in an office and theres no more work to be done, you probably will be mopping, sweeping, or cleaning. ESPECIALLY if your a lower ranking individual. They're just extra dutys.. But when there is alot of work to be done, like on the flightline, it can be very fast paced and stressful. This video sure as hell doesn't show that part lol.

  • I want your opinion, I have a choice of signing for 6 yrs as security forces with a 2 grand bonus and a garanteed e-3 out of tech school since I have 20plus college credits. OR 4 yrs and e2 outta tech and no bonus. What would you do? Response apriciated fellow airman! I swore in yesterday :)

  • security forces will get you deployed to fight in iraq, or whereever alongside the army. if i where u i would take e-2 with a 4 year and screw a bonus its not that big of a bonus to begin with.

  • I would get the bonus in writing and security forces is good if you want to be a cop on the outside. Make sure your not a base cop though they are just like road cops. Actual security forces is cool though they deploy alot ie. tax free money.

  • sign for 4 dude......... please..... dont make mistake i did, if you like it you can reenlist, besides once your done with techschool shortly ull be an e-2 which is only 100 dollars different in pay chart....

  • thanks for the replies everyone, i'll proll do the 4 years

  • Never listen to the recruiter. Find someone who is a Vet or in the service.

  • Don't go security forces. Pick a job that you can see a future in that makes a decent living. Don't worry about rank. You need concentrate on gaining experience in what ever job you pick, and how it will apply to the civilian world. But if money doesn't matter, be a PJ!

  • Hell ya Pj and CCT's are bad ass for sure, but i'm gonna be a cop when I get out so i figure security forces is the best choice. If i get deployed i'll prolly be trainin the afganistan army

  • go 4! you get a re-enlistment quicker and if you dont like it less time to wait, also a1c(e-3) is that much more pay than amn (e-2)

  • what do you mean go 4? years? how much bonus are they giving now?and how do u get up faster in the grade? thanks

  • e2 for 4. the reenlistment bonus will be bigger. plus in your tech school and your basic you will only get paid as an e1 and that will be like 9 or 10 months. so if you sign as an e3 after tech school a good portion of your career you would be only paid as an e1. try to get e2 out of basic.

  • thats all in the job you get, theres crappy jobs in any branch you go into, so you cant bring the whole AF into it.... its like saying working at a school sucks, guaranteed a janitor is gonna like it less then a principal or teachers... one crappy job doesn't condemn the entire place...

  • if it werent for the air force then the military would be nothing. remember whos got ur ass from above

  • I don't mean to argue but every branch has their own Air power aside from the AF. the AF is just best at what they do since its there specialty. that way everyones covered from above.

  • Yeah, but do they all have AC-130's? Hell no!

  • every branch does have their own air power.... but nothing that would do anything near as well or as hard impacting as the air force..... we got ur ass from above, from ground, and on the computer... plus my job... intel stuff.

  • we need all branches of the service.... any of them disappeared for some reason then there'd be issues. We all have same mission here... remember that!

  • Right, though- remember who the Air Force came out of--the Air Corps of the Army.

History will always be on the Army's side for MOST THROW DOWNS,bud.

    ;-)

  • u suck airforce is dominating in iraq

  • Army Strong!

    HOOAH!

If you want REAL adventure join the Army or Marines!

My buddy is in the AF & when people comment "Oh,you're in the military!" He replies--"NO,MAN!

    I'm in the Air Force!"

    lol ;-)

(Still the Air Force is cool for a desk job or low-hazard civilian career....)

  • except for the airmen

  • I'm retired but man does that golden flow bring back memories.

  • Hahahaha nice vid, this vid is so very true. But without maintainers, all pilots would be is guys in sunglasses and cool jackets.

  • i have that same quote on a coin somewhere

  • ive been in the air force 3 years...this shit is funny as hell!

  • haha, hilarious video. reminds me of the PBS special showing what life on the USS Nimitz was like for average seamen...basically these kind of monotonous tasks, but while trapped on a boat for like 6 months. Do you have to sweep the entire landing field?

  • this brings up the question, what do marines do? do we need them?

  • I seem to recall hearing whoever originally made this video was shown the door not long after an officer saw it and didn't like what he saw....anyone know if there's any truth behind this?

  • wouldnt think they got kicked out, they didnt do anything wrong. on a related matter some officers stationed in korea made the now infamous "Goldbond Powder" video. half a dozen officers got disciplinary paperwork for participating in their crude video. this is harmless in contrast

  • Article 15's. I first received this email in 2000. After a few weeks of circulation our wing commander (Hurlburt Field) ordered it to be deleted and if not further disciplinary action would be taken upon offenders. I think its a safe bet the people behind this got in trouble. Now, I have seen worse videos..aka some ATC Eglin AFB videos..

  • Hahaha, the PP gazer at the end.

  • Hey isn't it supposed to be the testee that has to put the cap on, not the inspector?

  • It doesn't matter what career field you're in or what your ASVAB score is...When there's no work to be done, someone senior to you will find something for you to do.This video is 100% dead on of what your duty day will consist of as an Airman while you are awaiting upgrade trng. I've got 8 years in and I still find my self helping out at air shows as an sp augmentee and sweeping up the shop. So quit your crying you new 1-2 stripers and pampered aircrew.

  • LOL its pretty similar to what its like in the CAF.

  • Hahahahaha....this is actually pretty funny. I'm at the Air Force Academy right now. Last year I was at a prep school that was mostly army, so I was used to getting the "chair force" jokes. It's all in good humor though. All it means is that I can kill you, and I don't even have to stand up to do it.

  • "All it means is that I can kill you, and I don't even have to stand up to do it."

haha that's hilarious and very true. Go you.

  • I'm 30 and thinking of joining.

  • dont...

  • I am laughing - yes, each of these scenes is true to life - each is PART of the bigger picture. The dull, mundane & routine require discipline & dedication & a sense of humor & humility...those who serve, serve in many ways...yes, there may, or may not, be excitement & urgency in your career, but no matter what, what you do, how you serve, contributes to the quality of life here in the USA & in the world. - VJ Pulver, MSgt, USAF (Ret)

  • well said

  • this is disgraceful. it doesnt matter if war isnt your thing, our troops are over there protecting your ass so you can put shit like this up.

I just enlisted yesterday in the Air Force, and believe me its nothing like that. this is just bull shit.

  • You do notice this was made by Air Force people? This was made while you were still trick or treating in middle school..get over yourself. Anyone who has served will agree.

  • if you just enlisted..you then obviously are not permanent party huh..

  • hey bud. im an air force firefighter. this is just a joke. you can calm down its all in good fun.

Thanks for enlisting. We will see you out there

  • If you just enlisted you never really experienced it yet. It's just a joke, chill out. Every branch has joke commercials like these and to some degree, they're pretty true.

    GM3,

    US Navy

  • wow yesterday look at you son!!!!! u wont even know the air force til after tech school probly still at the MEPS tryna practice facin movements in the latrine youll laugh at this video in due time jus relax

  • you've almost been in for a year now, assuming u did enlist on the day you commented. The video is just a joke, and to some extent it is true. All AB - A1C end up doing shitty Details because thats what we learn lol. Once you get SrA you can delegate it off to the Airmen Below you lol

  • amen to that im a new SrA and to top it of i get btz so now my supervisors dont make me do shit man they said i earned my way out of the shit details no more pulling weeds for me lol

  • LOL. The piss test. A little to much "attention to detail".

  • Dpurcell... obviously you have never been an ENLISTED aircraft maintainer. There is no anti-anything in this video. It is simply a parody of what we do on a daily basis. I am proud to serve in the Air Force and got a good laugh out of this video because it is so very true. Half of what new airman do at their shops is clean up and take out the trash. It's not because they are stupid... it's just how it goes.

  • exactly

  • i am not in the af yet, but i sure as hell know it isn't like this! unless you are like completely retarded and by some one in a million chance got a high enough ASVAB score to get in the AF when you really should have gotten in the army.

  • this is totally wrong. ive been in the air force for 7 years now active duty flying AC130 spectres....you should be ashamed of yourself. even if you dont support the war, support our troops. this is distasteful and disgusting and it should be removed

  • This was made by Hurlburt Field people, again..before you ever joined the USAF

  • not everyone gets to fly. someone has to do the somewhat mundane everyday work behind the scenes to help you accomplish your mission and to make the Air Force (and any other branch for that matter) run smoothly.

  • He was watching him pee...

There are partitions there for a reason.
