I really think The film should not have taken the name of the book and then told a completely different story.The virus mutates humans into something new. A new world has emerged and Smiths character in trying to "Save" the world unknowingly becomes their stuff of nightmares, seeking them out, murdering and kidnapping is the reason he becomes a legend! I would prefer this to another yet another zombie apocalypse movie. It's okay but same old same old Hero kills the bad guys.
