They're beautiful, and really happy as well - you've obviously done a fantastic job with them! What were they like to train - I heard that Borzoi can be a little stubborn, and prefer making their own decisions, but please correct me if I'm wrong!

Both are male actually, but the other one comes from a diffrent kennel and they are not related so. But yeah, Silke is kind of big, but much bigger now.

Its interesting to note that when dogs with long muzzles are play fighting, their 'lips' are only withdrawn about 1/2 way. My Shepard/Collie mix did the same when she was playing with our Sheltie pup, but when she was protecting our yard against the incurshions of the school goalkeeper fetching the ball, all her teeth were showing and snapping. Btw, anybody who loves their dogs like you and vice-versa, must be a good person.

Most male Borzoi in the USA are typically 31-32" inches tall (78.74-81.28) and bitches are at least 28 inches (71.12 cm)tall at the withers (shoulders). My male Borzoi standing with his paws on my shoulders is at least at least six feet (182.88 cm).

So american Borzoi are not that tall? My Pollux is 84 cm and Silke is more than 90 cm. Or high is the proper word :s
