I don't think the lady had t.b. She was a mentally ill patient that somehow became separated from everyone and got accidentally locked in a room. Apparently no one noticed she was missing and she eventually starved to death. It was in the main building when they were closing the mental institution in the late seventies I believe. The t.b. ward gives me a feeling that it could be haunted. Lots of people suffered and died with "consumption" there and it has a sad aura about it.
um i live here and ive been in here all the time (i dont live in the ridges....i live near them). Its not that scary! the only thing that is true is that a lady in the IA ward (i think that's where it was...) passed away and she was there for so long that her body left an imprint/stain on the floor in her room. that is kind of creepy but completely logical.
My gf and I just went to the TB Ward at the Ridges and got some pretty good pictures. Just go to my profile and find it in my videos here if you want to see the slideshow. I only have a few videos so its not hard to find.
Yea the other stain was caused when they rolled her over to put a backboard under her body, it is right beside the main one but kind of faint. My uncle told me that the dorms at the basketball court are haunted also (I believe that is the building it's the big round one). Athens is a cool place, I grew up in New Marshfield and I can show you some realy cool places!
My uncle works for OU and he took me in all the buildings last summer. The stain you were talking about in the vid. is realy in the main building on the third floor overlooking the (from the front of the building) left court yard. The stain is still there and it will not come up, they even tried acid to clean it and it just comes back. there are pictures of the stain on the web but what you can't see untill you are looking at it is there is a stain beside the main one.
no offense. but you guys really should catch up on your history a little more. if you understand the history, it will let you know a little more about what actually went on in the place and why the ghosts are still there.
almost every student, if not every student at OU, understands the story of the Ridges. There are hundreds of different legends, but the fact is that there is no definite history since very little information was released from this place.
I can relate a little to this video, we have one of those near my house. I haven't been there in a while. You might have inspired me to go check it out again.
I still didn't hear the chains at the end of this vid. I did hear the stuff way at the end when you put caption. At what time on the vid do you hear the chains?

Yeah. that was the sound that we were referring to when we were at the boarded up window. We've heard that sound before, and we were hoping to get it. unfortunately in the two weeks when we didn't go up there, they boarded up the window.
lol im going to OU next year, so I guess I'm checking everything out...I've seen the Ridges but not the TB ward. I'd prolly piss myself if I went to the TB at night. I bet that was thrilling as hell experiencing what you guys did.
