  • Any fog used? Which one do you prefer?

  • whats better to use, the aggressor led or the aggressor?

  • Thanks for the video.

How did you mount the aggressor in the center of the stand? is it mounted to the vertical pole?

  • thanks for the demo man

  • Wood paneling? Are you kidding?!

Nice set up, if this was 1978.

  • Is the principle in Agressor and Vertigo not the same?

  • Nice Video Zach! What is the name of the song @ 7:06? Thanks

  • thanks man, nice review, you really helped me out with this.

  • what did you use to clamp both the vertigo and the agressor?

  • coolvideo

  • Zman, you actually made a video that is educational. I don't know how many videos I've wandered through on YouTube before I found this one that is helpful and that really compares these two. Thank you so much! Keep on rockin.

  • Great vid, helped me make up my mind to get the aggressor over the vertigo - which was exactly what i was trying to decide!

    thanks

  • wat adaptor cord sdo i getr to link them

  • Right thing to clear up, LED uses less power but looks like a fancy fairy light, looks crap to be honest. I would advise everyone to stick to halogen lights, power consuption doesnt bother me, a party is about going out there and going mad, not holding back and having a good time not saving money and looking tacky.

  • very nice video. thanks!

    lol at 2:00 ^^

i just wanted to purchase some light and now i know what it will be... =)

    thank you for explaining!

    ur great!

  • Vertigo or Aggressor?

I don't know what to choose!

  • agressor

  • Aggressor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • vertigo, it strobes better

  • hey Zack..... have you seen the new ADJ Nucleus in action? looks very very nice......or have you seen Majestic

  • although i appreciate classic aerosmith, i'd doesnt work at all in a dance club setting. i'd suggest putting on dubstep music.

  • I don't have any experience with dj lighting so this might be a dumb question... Is this with or without fog? If fog was used in the video, would it be possible to get the effect without fog?

    Thanks for the video!

  • Very nice!!! LEDS FTW!!!

  • Thanks for answering..I have one more for you. Are there any more LED's that shut down like the Vertigo does after 5 seconds without sound? Thank you

  • oops...nice vid, is that a DMX vertigo or the one that shuts off after 5 seconds with no sound? I looked at one today, I think I'll purchase it

  • These aren't DMX fixtures, they shut off if there is no sound input by defalt.

  • I am stepping up to LED from the old vertigo and was trying to decide between the aggressor and the vertigo... You made my decision aggressively easy. :-) thx and keep up the VS videos to show us all the difference.

  • hey thanks! it helps :D

  • do u know the new double derby x LED by chauvet? is it the same as this agressor because when i see from amazon, the price is cheaper. do u knw whether chauvet's double derby x has the strobing effects?thx

  • I'll answer all three questions here.

    1. Tri Led used far less power than the old ones. The tri led strobes, old ones don't.

    2. old ones have a 10min duty cycle, tri led has no duty cycle. byt LED lights in general have no duty cycle.

    3. I have no ecperience with the double derby from chauvet. There may be some video reviews available on youtube,

  • does the tri led has duty cycle? how bout the old school ones

  • hey what's the difference between the tri LED and the old one besides the bright? because im planning to buy one for my house party. which one u recommend thx

  • When you are using the aggressor alone as a center piece what type of clamp are you using Thanks

  • I use O-Clamps for all my lights.

  • awesome. cheers- was debating between these two lights, but as i only want one for now as a centre piece, im going for the aggressor. it was great to have a video comparing two side by side, as it really shows their similarities and differences. thanks heaps.

  • good work!!! next one please! whish lights stans are you using?? what brand?

  • thanks for the video! good Work!

  • Are you using a fog/haze machine in this vid?

  • I am using fog

  • the first one that your playing with the lights its like a walk this way but like remix?

    thanks

  • Ohh that one is walk this way - Run DMC & Aerosmith

  • whats that song called its wicked

  • The opening song is The Metal by Tenatious D

  • how would you mount the aggressor in the middle of a t-bar type stand?

  • With an O-clamp

  • Hey Zman87gt, what DJ software do you use for audio or do you use actual audio equipment?

  • Virtual DJ

  • Hey guy...I love LED stuff, but it seems the new LED models are forcing the old school halogens to come down in price. I just ordered a Mini Gressor,(not LED) a Miniature version of the Double Derby. Hopefully that light is going to work out ok. I'm adding to my current setup:On-Stage Top & Side Bar Lighting Stand

    • Chauvet Stage 4 Lighting Controller

    • American DJ Par38 Cans (2) Green & Pink Gels

    • Elation EL-1200 Moonflower (red gel)

    • Chauvet "Mini Moon" Light

  • i need the agressor it is very cool .... congratulation dude .... you have it

  • Hey Zman87gt! Really appreciate ur videos. They help a lot! I've got a question 4 u though. I've seen both ur reviews on the Tri LED Vertigo & now on the Tri LED SunRay. Eventually I'm going 2 get 2 of each 2 supplement my 3rd system. However, 4 right now with money being LACKING I can only choose a pair of 1. What would you suggest. What's brightest, best looking. They'll supplement 2 -ColorStrips, Revo III, Techno Strobe - White, and a Scorpion RG Laser. Thanks again!!! =-)

  • I think I would start out with the sunrays. They really rock and are more versitle than the Vertigo.

  • Hey there! Thanks for the quick response! In your opinion, which one is brighter? Could you explain what you mean by more versitile? Thank you. =)

  • Brightness wise they are pretty much the same. They both use the same 3 watt Diode. The sunrays are more versital because they can do fast and slow lightshow programs with the use a the UC3 controller. The vertigos are what they are, a good dance light you use occationally through out the night.

  • thanks for the video man, i have a question though, what would you use as a center piece, the Tri Led Aggressor, the American DJ Wave DMX Lighting Effect, or the Chauvet DERBY X DMX LED Effect Light. I'm a mobile dj, I mostly do weddings, birthdays, showers, etc. I'm trying to set up a new light system

  • I am not a huge fan of the derby x's or similar. If you want to stick with LED the Aggressor LED would be a good choice. However I do like the ADJ Wave, it just uses alot of power.

  • Are you using a Haze Machine?

  • Thankx for the demo man it was a great one being the owner of an entertainment company we have been looking into LED effects more now. but you show pretty much how the are and what they do i like that. as an ADJ VIP Im always up for some new stuff thankx again

  • I like the new strobing effect

  • Thanks so much to you and other DJs here posting reviews of lights. Your reviews are strongly influencing my light purchases. I've been DJing for years, but am just now adding lights to my gear. I just purchased the Agressor and will be purchasing two Vertigo's as well. I'd like them to be DMX, but I can step up later. :) Thanks again!

  • LOL a Caddilac grill

  • i get the two ligh last day

  • Thanks for the review, I'm just getting into my first purchase of dj equipment, you really help with the led vs std bulb light decision I'll have to make

  • Love the new LED aggressor. Definately looks good as a center piece! Love the green screen effect as well! Great stuff!

  • If you are using a 5 or 10' truss most of the time then I would go with the Agressor. If you are using a T bar mostly then the Vertigo. Both are great it just depends on how you plan on setting up your lightshow.

  • I know it might be a strange question but das the LED Aggressor operate quieter than the old version? I ask because I have been using DJ lights in my home entertainment room and hated the load motor noise of the original.

  • I remember the fan making noise on my old one not the motor. This has no fan noise but there is a slight motor noise nothing real loud. Once you play music you can't hear anything.

  • VERY COOL LIGHTS!!

  • have you tried putting the colored lenses on the led fixture? just for fun

  • I borrowed the old school vertigo used in the video so i really don't have anything to swap lenses with.

  • hahahaa I LOVE the green screen, it took me completely off guard, I had to do a double take.

very nicely done, I just got a program that can do the same, I was going to try the green screen effect but haven't gotten around to it.

  • always helpful videos from you! You rock man!

  • now i want a vertigo tri led with syncing capabilities!!!!

    awesome vid man

  • great stuff zac what about foggers or hazers what do you use and do you ever have any problems with smoke detectors

  • I started out using a fogger but I now use a hazer. I never ran into trouble with smoke detectors with either one.

  • Awesome vid Zman! I definately agree that the aggressor makes a nice center piece light. I wanted to pick some up and now i want them even more. lol Oh and great editting, that was funny. Thanks for the vid!

  • I'm very sure that after a few minutes (or even seconds) unlinked lights won't do the same anymore..

  • Nice ending...... LOL

  • Awesome video. I agree about the Aggressor being a good center piece light. Whats cool is that it is under $200. Definately going on my "to get" list

  • If I could give you more starts I would, so for now, you'll have to be happy with my 5 stars. Great video and I really am considering adding these lights to my future purchases.

    Thanks for the demo!

  • Jack Black rocks!

    woah double take!

what software are you using to make this video?

the strobe on both the led units are awesome

  • Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate. It comes with the green screen making the double take possible

  • First song =D

  • Tri Phase LED is what i am also considering have you seen these yet?

  • I have not seen them in person. They look very impressive on the ADJ video though.

  • i got one in today....stay tune for some videos

  • I like the tri-vertigo, I have one, but after seeing the aggressor I want that too!

  • wow i didn't know that you have a twin ^^ hehehe

  • So those were just ran on sound activation right...

  • yeah, there is no dmx control on these. They do shut off after 7-10 seconds when no sound is present.

  • great vid Zack!!!! thanx

  • please do river bash 2009 cant wait if you do because even though u have so many lights alredy u are building up like every month great man so u have come so far since river bash 2007

  • I already agreed to do 2009, it will be on August 1st.

  • Sweet lights. They just keep getting better. Makes you not wanna buy a light since a new one will come out that is better. I guess that is a good problem to have. :-)

  • Very Nice!!!! Love the effects on your vid!!!

  • great work Zach-love the ending!

  • Sweet vid, Oh yeah, tell you twin I said Hi. Love the lights, cant wait to buy mine. Enless you would like to give them away, JK Keep it up zack

  • excuse me george lucas you have left your green-screen, have you seen Zack???

The old school vertigo would appear to be brighter as its 600W where the Tri-LED Vertigo is still an output similar to a 250W halogen lamp...

I am still gonna film and upload my comparison of the Halogen Vertigo and Tri-LED Vertigo.

    Great Video!!!!

  • hahaha bling!! bling!! thats cool, nice vid

  • great vid!! I need one of all

  • Awsome Zach. Im likin the new lights alot. Keep the vids coming!

    Corey

  • these lights are sweet! i just got 2 tri phase leds
