he is great i have two amazons and one goffin cackatoo.the main food i feed my amazons is the zupreem fruit diet,it helps with amazons because they do have a weight problem

He's 50 years old, happy, healthy, active, and talkative.... and fluffing his feathers. So I'm guessing he's in pretty good shape. :)

i was just wondering.. what do u feed ur bird? coz mine is 20 and i read that they live around 60 years.. and i want him 2 reach that age... since urs is 50, could u give me some advice on what 2 feed him? (at the moment mine is on a diet... he got 2 "round")... fruits and nuts.. but what else... (mine eats everything by the way no wonder he is liek he is..:p)

We buy a good bird mixture. The brand is "Select." We also give him fresh organic carrots, strawberries, cherries, bananas, and various nuts. Every Sunday, he gets a special treat of 1 organic cracker, and a tablespoon of organic cream cheese. He also gets some organic toast with organic butter on it. Whenever we give him "people food," it's organic. All the toxic sprays they put on people food are even more toxic for birds.

We also give him filtered water, but not bottled, because the plastic imparts bad stuff to the water. He also gets a few hours out in the sun on sunny days, and he gets a shower from warm water in a spray bottle. They like to shower once a week, but only when it's sunny. He also gets well covered each night to prevent drafts. Cold and drafts can kill them. You probably know all that, but it's just something you always have to be very careful about.
