  • é wouaiii cétait les années 80 ! j'aurais aimer etre un ados durant cette décénie plutot que 2000's

  • de la vrai musique de fete choc ca fait rapeler l ecole primaire en 1980

  • Have some of you never heard of Google or Wikipedia? They are French. The lead singer was born in Martinique, which is an overseas department of France. Just because they are named "Ottawan" does not mean they are from Ottawa.

  • This reminds me of my early childhood in France...

  • @feedityourhead In 80's party or weeding we still listening this song in france ;)

  • \o/

  • muy buena canción

  • si me encanta esta canción

  • jaime cette chanson '' i like this song'' for u english people

  • They are French, not french-canadian. Guadeloupe and Martinique are in France.Their producer is the father of Thomas Bangalter member of Daft-punk.

  • @Soussmeboules your the only one who's got it right!

  • They are French Canadians, so French will be the first language, English is much better than French so they re-recorded their songs for the civilised market [ooh matron]

  • Ottowan is a GUADELOUPIAN band, from Guadeloupe in the French West Indies. This song, "Haut Les Mains," was used by Club Med in the North American sector in the 80s for their "Crazy Signs" or "Signes Dementales" dance. NOT from Canada, NOT from France. This song is on the LP/album "Ottawan" (same name as the band) along with other singles by the group, such as "Musique Magique." You can find both the English and French versions on "Club Med Presentes The Music," 1988.

  • extremely beautiful samba disco, beautiful sound

  • Tu l'as à 99/100, mon cœur

  • used to dance to this many many years ago..

    Donne donne donne-moi donne-moi

  • I heard this in the 90's in the US, could not find it anywhere....Now you tube comes along and Voilas!

  • @BushWomanOtter You're probably looking for the English version by the same group called Hands Up

  • And I thought this sounded amazingly cheesy in English... wow!! Speachless lol!

  • Great track, always remember this kids birthday parties when i was 4-5 years, still sounds just as good today as it did nearly 30 years ago.

  • T'es Ok!

  • Canada has two official languages, English and French. They are the Ottawans a native tribe of Canada who gave the name to it's capital Ottawa.

  • 80-ban voltam első osztályos :)

  • Of course Ottawa is Canada's capital for all of you U.S.A. Ignorant s, whom are not able to point the map of the U.S.A. in a world map. ASSHOLES.

  • French version is much better! I remember :) 1980 good time!

  • @kahkeshansard they're actually from canada...

  • Hi. I know it. I thought he is asking about the language of the song. Good day.

  • @tawni723 .....NO !!.... This is a French band. To be more exact, the lead singers are of Carribean heritage. If you don't believe this, then all the information about Ottawan on the internet must be wrong :-) ....Well, actually it doesn't matter where they come from. The music is just wonderful! Cheers!

  • @tawni723 They're from West indies(guadeloupe which is a island which belongs to france) the group, renamed Ottawan (referring to Ottawa, the capital of Canada) at their beginning, the group named `Black Underground' after met the producer, they changed the name of group.

  • @tawni723 No, they are from Martinique. But their publicity started off in Canada.

  • @tawni723 Ottawan is a French band. Where did you get Canadian from?

  • @tawni723 What ? xD No, the production is Canadian, that's all. THe singers are born in the French West Indies...
