Haha yeah man, I know what you mean. The only reason (I think) why Bungie doesn't put that in, is there would be complaints if people were working REALLY hard on a map and hit the 'Clear All' option, it'd kinda fuck them over.

There are people with Map Variants of canvases, take a look at 'Jon CJG's File Share, I'm pretty sure he has canvases of the legendary maps.

Also, if your Xbox LIVE is down, why not spend an hour making blank variants of each map? Not necessairily a waste of time.>=]
