hey i got a question for you, i have the same one as u and my light is just like urs, the sub only lights up at the one bit but i thought the whole sub lit up neon blue, i looked at some other vids on utube and the whole ting lights up. why not ours?

@beejeeznoosa there is only one blue LED light, and it sits in the back like you said.

my assumption is that it really depends on the lighting situation. you'll prob notice it light up the entire sub in a darker room or not lit up very brightly.

my sub was sitting right under a lamp so thats prob why mine isnt lit up like a neon sign lol.

@fthebest ive never had the bose so i cant say , but from the refviews ive read of peopel comparing both, the sound is pretty on par. the harman kardons are a little cheaper, so if i had to pick, go for the harman kardons, they sound just as good and look more unique, and save urself a $.

these speakers are also displayed and kept in new yorks art museum for one of the most innovative designs and stuff .

@RangerSWINDLE you dont have to clean it. when you use the system, air moves in and out all the time, so any dust that goes in will eventually come out.

ive been using this for over a year nwo and i have no problems with dust buildup or anything in that matter. still looks brand new

if you want a real soundtest, go to the fucking apple store and listen to it yourself.

@TheEdgeGamer well convisdering its the third version, probably is a little bit better. sound is sound, unless ur a serious audiophile, u prob wont notice to much of a difference. the onyl astetic difference i see is the feet on the soundsticks are now black, i guess to matc apple blakc and alunimum theme lol

i see them on the apple website for like 150 dollars? so if u wan to spend the exrtra 20, sure why not lol

Just got one of those systems yet probably much older than yours as it used to belong to my Dad who died several months ago and had had it for years.

I am quite puzzled with the way the sound signal is to be assigned to my PC.

I have plugged the USB chord that comes out of the subwoofer into my PC but funnilly enough I don't find any other port to link the appliance to my PC's line out mini-jack plug.

yeah the new ones have an actual 3.5 headphone jack rather then a usb connector the old ones used.

i think the older ones were more ment for the macs rather then pc's but if u get it working, they will sound awesome.

these speakers use both audio cable (the red and white connector) OR a 3.5mm headphone connector. so u can pretty much use these for anything, computers, ipod, iphone, tv etc

@pooohz Well, I personnally don't owe the karman/kardon nor the the LogitechZ2300, but I know people who have both! So I tested them both by song-to-song comparision. My opinion: The sound of the harman speakers is much clearer und detailed than the Z2300. The bass of Logitech is definitely better, but the sound-heights feel like they've been recorded in a bathtub. My I prefer the harman system. And the design is better too.

@PopaDom1000 that one i posted is the most expensive set but around the samee price as the harmon kardon sticks here in new zealand at the right places. but the logitech z5500 are 1000watts (500watts rms) while the harmon kardon sticks are 40watts rms from memory?? Try looking for the logitech x-530 alot cheaper and they are 75 watts rms $90 new zealand dollars which is like half that u.s i think? if someone knows exchange rates it might be helpful

Got them now, they sound good, really clear. Bass isn't overpowering, but you notice it, which is how it should be, some people think the more bass the better :p
