Of all the tiny houses I've seen, I think I'm more impressed with the carpentry work on yours than any other. There's really something about how the kitchen is laid out. The thing is, all these tiny houses are basically the same. There's not much to do with the layout and arranging, but all of the small details make your's one of the best! Something about your's really says quality and attention. Thanks for sharing man.
That's awesome! I've been trying to figure out which model to get for me and my son when my daughter moves out. Now that I've seen this, I see that I can put a full size bed in the ''storage'' loft. Is the TV room big enough for a futon bed? Are you still living in it and happy with the size?
at 1st i wanted to nag about the porch that taking up space, but the interior design is quite practical. You manage to use up all space effectively with your preference. so, gonna forgive that porch. haha..
are you serious with the plan of putting a tv in there? better find a super quality tv or else, your eyes will have trouble.
This video couldn't be more perfect, what a fascinating thing. I'm half way through building my own and your video has just inspired me! Great detail, really love it. Cheers!
My wife and I hope to build a small off-grid cabin someday and have looked at Jay's Tiny Houses, but I must say yours looks even better. I'm curious what sort of insulation you use in the walls and roof? We live in Canada, so we'd want something that could permit us to enjoy extended stays in it in the winter. I look forward to seeing the rest of your videos. Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos. Subscribed!
@PineMartyn Hey Martin,to answer your question on the insulation, I have R30 in the floors and R13 in the walls and ceiling. it works very well in the carolinas
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful siding! I know air conditioning would require 110 electricity but would that not be useful sometimes? I live in Georgia so it gets pretty hot.
Are there rules about taking it on the road? I mean, if I built one, and a cop pulled me over, what's he going to say? Things like permits to move it? Maybe there's rules that windows have to be shatter proof?
Good job it looks nice...Jay Schaefer has a Tumbleweed House seminar coming up in Boulder, Co where i live...I'M VERY EXCITED ABOUT LIVING MORTGAGE FREE.!
Just wanted to say - nice job! I am looking into Lusby build myself, which is what brought me to your video. I see specific choices that you made - RV stove, the ceiling fan, and the remote controlled fan. Nice!
Also, the floor coverining laminate is a nice idea, too.
One of the draws for me, is I intend to make your tv sitting room into a small office.
@ducky32038 ,It roughly cost me $10.000 but I also did all the work myself and the cedar was free from a friend that does logging...thanks for the comments
this is a wonderful home you've created!!! What are it's dimensions and how long did it take you to build? Did you have an prior building experience beforehand?
Thanks so much, I look forward to your reply and to all of your tiny house updates.
@travis162002 how much did it cost you? and i think its great you did it urself because i like putting things together myself with no help, great job!!!
We live in Georgia and we are intrigued by Tumbleweed's products. But the obvious question: what about A/C? Don't want to have to stay in the F-250 to cool off.
@fitnessdvdqueen a small window unit...5000 btu does a great job . i bought one this summer and it kept the little house at 68 degrees in the dead heat of the summer.
By FAR the nicest tiny house I have ever seen. The floorplan is exceptional. Of all I have ever seen this would be definitely be my choice to live in.
I have to agree this is the best tiny house I've seen as well. I especially like all the inside electrical and plumbing work. So many tiny houses forgo hot water. That's essential in my opinion. Will you tack on a small ac unit?
This is probably the best tiny house i've ever seen - It has a proper sized kitchen in it. Before, I was a bit put-off by tiny houses, as they all seemed to have small kitchenettes, and I spend most of my spare time in the kitchen. But after seeing this i'm beginning to seriously consider downsizing
Very Nice. I like the vertical cedar on the outside, but the whole thing is great. I'm just starting my tiny house. Wish I were as far along. Mine will have 2 lofts, like yours as well. The fan you have must be real nice, if its thermostatically controlled. It was smart avoiding the vent running through the roof. The fewer holes in the roof, the better.
may I say that in your sitting room instead of the two chairs, maybe use a couch/bench that you would see in Jonathan's Fencl inside tour here on youtube, and like in Small space, Big style #02 (1/4) also here on youtube?
Awesome! You did a beautiful job, inside and out! I could see myself living in it and you've given me some ideas to maximize the space in my home. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
Great job on this. I like the way you modified it somewhat from the Tumbleweed one. Like the oven and rather than having a bed in that one area you were smart and made it a sitting area. You really maxamized the space well, at the same time keeping it small. I would live in it.
I love this..you did a spectacular job!! Awesome work..but...speaking from experience and doing my share of camping over the years...the refridgerator needs to be bigger....
This is awesome..You did an EXCELLENT job!! Love the tin roof....Laying in that loft a rainy night will be heavenly ...nothing like the sound of rain on a tin roof!! Again great job!!
Hi Travis... I don't know where you live but I was wondering if your hot water heater had been put to the test yet with this cold? Has the pex piping held up good? I hope it's held up good.
goodjewishboy: Thanks for the comment, as far as the hot water heater the pex piping will hold up alot better in freezing weather but we will see. I'm still testing the cabin to make sure everything works properly. As for the floor, yes it is insulated with R-30 insulation and its no problem with the cold weather. Any more questions feel free to comment..thanks again!!!
Man... you did an unbelievable job on that cabin. I really like how you put the on demand hot water heater on the outside as it saves space. Would that hold up well in areas where it gets below freezing? Also, I watch you awesome movie showing your construction. You are really talented. I was wondering though if you insulated the floor or not. If not, how does it feel with the cold? Thanks again for posting this. You are an inspriation.
Hi! Finally a tour of a Lusby! Beautiful workmanship. I was wondering about the heater mounted by the bathroom, what brand is it? Is it electric?
Thanks :)

If you put a bench/sofa in your TV room it too could be used as a spare bedroom. Plus I think it would be comfier then the chairs you showed here.
