oh i want this so badly. Ive used Panasonic's pro cameras and this one seems to have some of the features from those, (from what I understand, it looks like you can do rack focus with this, which is unusual in a small video camera). This is very cool
@usa12387 The best bet would to use Adobe Premiere. With the new Premiere in CS5, you can import just about any video into it.....from iPhone videos to HD, it will take them all. Hope that helps
@usa12387 It's leaning more towards a positive answer than a guess.....Check out our video reviewing Adobe CS5, and in particular the new Adobe Premiere. Once you watch that video , your question should be answered. Thanks for the support
its NOT 1080P(progressive) Its 1080i (interlaced) I Have it, its cool but need an i5 processor or more. Mine is i5, 4gb, nvidia gts250 video card. Works great. But need i7, windows vista sucks with avchd. Theres NO nightshot or whatever My opnion? The touch screen is perfect the reviews out there are lying about it. the power source conector really sucks because it is behind the battery you need to take off the battery in order to connect the cable A bit heavy and slow interface thats all
does this work well with macs?

The camera in the video is great but.... It's not true what they say about it having the same quality as the pro cameras.
The PANASONIC HVX200 is a pro camera, it uses 3CCD HD chips.
And why do they use 3CCD on the HVX200 ...because it's better quality, than the cheaper 3CMOS chips.
If you think I'm wrong just look up the HVX200 and see right on the camera it will say 3CCD.
There are a few older model hand held Panasonic that have 3CCD though,
