  • what is that remote in ur hand??

  • Mr. G... does the G stand for Gordon? as in Gordon Freeman? That's how awesome of a scientist you are..

  • I like the way you don't have any scissors in the wilderness but you do have some a.c. wire............

    Love the show Mr.G!!

  • Great vid and idea. If I'm lost in the woods and have batteries and a few wires I'm saved. Any other great survival tricks?

  • Let's say...your in the middle of the wilderness...and you hear a cat bell jiggle...

YOU DONE COCONUT? I love that part Mr. G!

  • Dear Mr. G., I was wondering if you could do a video on how to do awesome things on the computer. I watched your video on the easter egg in windows xp, but i couldnt do it because im running windows 7. It would be awesome if you did. Also, in the easter egg video, I noticed that you just used your camera to record the screen. There is a program called Camtasia studio that I use to record the screen. I love your videos. Thank you.

    Your Biggest Fan,

    Cirwin6942

  • Wow you've lost a lot of weight!

  • Thanks for this video, I really liked it.

  • Even though you blocked me a long time ago for doing a very idiotic thing on my part I still keep up with your videos on this account..

Keep up the good work Mr. G

  • where do you get the remote controlled video camera?

  • I like ur videos Mr.g

  • @leoblaster101

Thank You! I couldn't make them without viewers like you!

    -- Mr. G

  • I like ur videos Mr.G

  • This Video is awesome and i like your Videos

  • OR YOU COULD BRING A LIGHTER :)

  • If you have a flashlight why wouldn't you just use the filament from that light bulb?

  • mr g , ive been watching ur vids from a loooooooonng time .... first time commenting . just wanted to say ur a genius :)

  • nice shirt

  • I am like your shirt, good vid

  • Kind of funny, just got back from hiking in the mountains in Oregon, camped at about 5500 feet and went to around 7500 feet, it got to around 32 degrees at night and just high 30s in the day, luckily had plenty of matches and fire! Great video as usual!

  • LMFAO 8:00.....know what you've done? you've shaved yourself!

but as a real question, would some old earphone cords work?

  • Hungry Jackals Gunna eat you! better find some C's and spare wire quick! :D

  • 8:00 EPIC!

  • Thanks Mr. G. I always appreciate the show. Well done as always, and this time especially practical.

  • Teeth are the only good wire strippers.

  • i would bring scissors, my leathermans always on my belt

  • Wow, what a great idea. A very handy trick, indeed.

  • Same thing can make a flashlight if you sub the filament for a bulb.

  • good idea for sure

  • hey mr.g

why are you called mr. g?

  • but u always carry a knife on a camping trip....

  • hey mr. g, the intro on these video "do try this at home" is getting old and i skip to the start of the video because i dont want to listen to it. Please make a new intro and Please respond. it would mean the world to me and if you could sub to me.

i no you prob get a lot of people asking for u to sub to them but this is different. not really just that i love you

    please respond

  • @crazycarl999111

The intro was replaced for a short while in the first few videos of series 4. EVERYONE hated the change, and requested constantly that I change it back. So I did.

    -- Mr. G

  • @Mindpaint thansk for replying sry didnt know

    could you please subscribe

thanks your biggest fan and please do a shoutout to me please and thanks

  • AWESOME!

  • mine starts to smoke, no glow. can u explain what i am doing wrong?

  • @Clashifyism

Could be wire is too thick, battery voltage too low, or, not enough windings. Any or all of these can cause the smoking issue with NO light.

    Hope this helps,

    -- Mr. G

  • @Clashifyism find the thinnest electrical grade copper wire that you can find. wind it about 10 times. should be good. remember it has to be electrical grade copper.

  • Better then mythbusters

  • You kinda look like my chemistry teacher but you're cooler

  • i love the 8 bit shirt

  • Or you can just use a lighter.

  • I want thumbs up!!!

  • Well....next time im hiking i'll bring some flint, i'm always confused by wires and electricity @_@

  • now thats some bear grylls right there!!

  • what if i got a filament already mr.g

  • what kind of camera do u use Mr. G? i rly like it :D

  • Wow you just gave me an idea how to make a firecracker detonator! Thanks :)

  • Ello Mr.G :D

  • Sup G. Do you mind replying to this so both of us get alot of thumbs up?

    Thanks, love the show!

  • @AndersForEverybody

    Why not?

    -- Mr. G

  • lost in the wilderness?? with 400 people per km² there is no wilderness in the netherlands.

if you are lost and cant make it to civilation within the night you are probably too weak to do this

  • it's very similar to a light bulb. now we can light our house with batteries and wires!

  • TL;DW

  • Is it just me, or does this guy look just like the guy from the show "house"?

  • @TheSoccerChief roadhouse

  • Mr. G. The next Bear Grylls!!!!

  • Can you use this as like a mini lighter?

  • Thats a pretty bad scenario xD, If you don't have scissors, what makes you think you would bring all this other equipment xD

  • Mr. G,

I just wanted to let you know I have been watching your videos for more than 4 years or so. I grow up watching your show, I just love it.

Please make more video, like twice a week or so.

  • Is it true the you can make fire with some wires, a potato, salt and also toothpaste...? i know it sounds weird, but i heard it, and i was wondering if you know if it its true

  • Comment removed

  • thats pretty cool!!

  • Mr G., alternatively, if you have some steel wool, it works like a dream, and is really pretty to look at after you stick a 9 volt to it.

  • I like that from some high tech items something basic yet so important like fire can be created.

    It's like reverse engineering. =D

  • HEY MR G !!! cannu do some more boomerang vids those were cool !!!:D

  • Did you know you can also make fire with a 9v battery against some steel wool?

  • welp time to get lost in the woods ;)

  • ME MR. G... ME MAKE FIRE!

  • if you have a flashlight you can use the reflector as a magnifying glass to start i fire. or it its is an original incandescent light, pop the reflector off to reveal the bulb. stick the bulb along with the flashlight in something that catches fire easily, turn the flashlight on and with a rock, smash the bulb with all the kindling around it. the filament in the bulb will (should) start fire.

  • You would also have a knife in the wilderness ;) lol <3 Mr.G

  • lol Mr.G if you had a radio, why break it apart to make a fire. You can call for help with it, cant you?

  • is it possible to use 9 volt batteries?

  • Cool mr G. but id rather spoon for warmth

  • i did this in a school with plastic...

  • your videos are so boring now

  • OMG!!!! ACTUAL FIRE!!!!!

  • you should try a light refractig telescope, you can make a decent one for relitively cheep

  • right... I wouldn't bring scissors to the wildermess... but an ac adaptor wire... that's something we always have on us!!! xD (j.k., of course... very cool video Mr. G :D)

  • It's a good idea to bring a lighter with you

  • the wire stripper thing i used to do this when i was a kid :) *memories

  • It looks like ordinary bulb, but without a glass (and works in the same way).

  • (ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)... You done coconut??......(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring)(ring) :(

  • Mr. G a mysterious orb seems to appear in the background at 6:20 minutes into your video it starts in between the monitor and lamp then takes a rather unnatural fall towards the ground. Possible ghost?

  • Lol i shaved myself with a couple of batteries and a wire? lol

  • Dont use your teeth unless you have to, my dad chiped his tooth and it hurt him bad doing that.

  • I love your vids man, this one by far has been super useful! try using the lead from a pencil(as filament) and a car battery!!! INSTANT HID LIGHT!!!!!!! i used it when i didn't have a light and my car broke down at night. Hey maybe u can post up a vid of this technique? thanks man!!

  • replay to this mk?

  • Don't have batteries to start a fire, better drink my own Piss.

  • Hahaha I love the bloopers!!

  • neat video buddy

  • thats awesome!!! i always look for creative ways to light a fire in a wilderness/survival situation. Steel wool and a 9V battery was what i tried last time. this is great stuff!!!

im a big fan and i love your videos!

  • why didnt he get shocked at 5:52 when he touched the battery with the wire?

  • @stripnieks1234567890 cus his body has a too large resistance for the electricity to run through.

  • @nextlifeonearth oh, thanx

  • this is cool ^__^

  • That is a cool wilderness survival trick.

  • Have you ever turned on the Closed Captions?

It's funny what YouTube thinks your saying.

  • i carry a multi tool (leatherman charge tti). it has a wirestriper.

  • your awesome... deal with it

  • I would have been dead by now.

  • to......ACTUAL FIRE!

  • lol after 1 min of video i realized this is not 30 seconds with MR G and i lol´d

  • Flash lights are containers for dead batteries, however the resistance of this filament must be pretty small compared to a light bulb filiment...

Are the batteries you are using fresh? Would this work with batteries that are considered dead (won't light a flash light bulb)?

    Cool vid!

  • where can i find wire and 2 9v batteries in the wilderness?

  • i have the same shirt as you! good vid too!

  • you should really consider changing the song lol

  • This channel is the only reason for me to watch YouTube, honestly. Thank you very much!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow nice !!! :)

  • this is really usefull!

  • Isnt it easier to have a lighter in your pocket? lol cool vid anyways!

  • this is like the steel wool thing you can do, cool.

  • u ve lost a lot of weight. gr8 :D

  • ur cats name is coconut?

  • Love the ghetto wirestripper ;)

  • @bassline0121

    I prefer "wildermess" wire stripper.

    -- Mr. G

  • @Mindpaint did you mean wilderness

  • @Mindpaint sadly mr g i have mini scssors in a swiss card so i dont need to use wlderness wire strippers im always prepared

  • @bassline0121 I did this whole the time when I was a kid, because I didn't even know such a thing as wirestripper exists, I bought it when I was like 15, but my front teeth are a bit grated because of doing that :/

  • @draconpost I use my teeth all the time, think i've used a wirestrippers once.

  • Mr. G my favorite subject is science and this is why i love your videos! I love doing experiments of someone broke my science teacher's magnets and she said once a magnet is broken it creates a new north or south pole i tried to put it back together but it was crooked! I was amazed well not died to death amazed just like cooooool but i would like you to make more videos you should check out Socoolscienceshow's channel too

  • You'd have a knife in the middle of the wilderness. You could use that to cut the wire :O

  • Thanks Mr. G! I was trapped in the wilderness, and it was really cold out. This video sure did "Shave" me ;D Lol, best blooper ever

  • this is grand

  • thank you for making another show mr.G

  • pleez reply to this

  • @indianballer123

    -- Mr. G

  • Batteries are true lifesavers.

  • @TheYodadoy he is lol... he uses the remote to control it

  • Comment removed
