ive owned several saabs turbo and non turbo and over the years that there is no better of a car for the price that both preforms well and rides so smooth plus not to mention the luxury i have a 9-5 that has more options than any basic car and a garret turbo that people use on other cars so i guess im trying to say once you buy a saab its hard not to have one oh and that alfa looks ugly as hell what a peice

I used to own a Saab 9-5 2.0t and under 1700rpm it was so slow that a donkey would overtake me.

Seriously unsafe to go into intersections in 1'st gear.

So, you have proved that adding a turbo can give better power at low revs. The 24v Alfa V6 does not have a turbo and was never designed as a turbo engine, which is why it howls more at higher revs and can do over 7000 rpm; as do Ferraris and Lambourghinis, which do also not have turbos. What were you trying to show?

The cars have almost the same Power to Weight ratio.

You can see where the Alfa is fast and where the Saab is fast.

This Alfa has different air inlet pipes, from the QV/Q4. This gives an increase of 20hp and a few Nm's. We think this particular Alfa should have even more hp, considering the way it performs against other cars. Have you seen the alfa against the S80 T6?

Good test. Would be interesting to see how they differ at higher speeds as noticed the Alfa seems relatively slippery through the air. Took mine to 145 in Germany, in high cross-winds and it was still accelerating. Also noticed it accelerates faster at 140mph than 130mph, in 5th, as the engine is really coming on cam. How did you 'hold' the camera?
