@lysdxc Our Generation is filled with the most bad-ass breeds of Human-Kind.... 90's kids are the Pinnacle of Man-Kind... lol WE'RE NOT KIDS WHO FOLLOW OUR DREAMS, WE F*CKING LEAD THEM!
Just realized that The singing voice for hercules was rodger bart! HOW i never noticed this is beyond me... but i find it funny(in a weird kinda way) that alot of my FAV. disney films were slowly grooming me for my Obsession with Broadway today... since almost all of them had a bway star in there somewhere! Rodger bart i have loved since i heard him in the producers and now i cant get enough of him
Sometimes I see a connection between Hercules's story with Superman's. Super strength, adopted parents, an outsider on earth, raised on a farm, and a badass brunette as a love interest.
I'm crying. I wish I was a 90's kid, not just a kid born in 1997 since all the most epic movies were made there. Thumbs up if you wish you could go back in time and grow up with those movies and not the crappy teen dramas we have today.
@chikadeepan I don't know about you, but I grew up with these movies, and I believe you can watch them as many times as you want. Growing up has nothing to do with it. And I'm fairly certain 1997 was IN the 90's.
@chikadeepan I was born in 1995, but my parents still showed me all these things growing up. So I remember some of these things. But I would rewatch these so many times. Anyways I come with a message! If you watched this movies and have younger siblings, let's SAVE them! Go out and buy these movies and show them to your younger siblings! WHOOSE WITH ME?!
Ya know, if a giant statue of a famous greek god came to life and told me he was my father, and that i was a god (or goddess, I guess, in my case) I'm pretty sure it would take more than 10 seconds to convince me that i wasnt crazy....
Baby with superhuman powers gets sent away from his parents on another world and winds up with a pair of Earthly farmers. Eventually realizes that his powers make him an outcast. Works hard for years to find his place in the world. Eventually becomes a hero, protecting the world from the worst monsters in existence and becoming the epitome of everything that humanity aspires to be.
@mukers In the actual Greek myth, Hercules is the son of of Zeus and Alcmene (his adoptive mother in Disney). His enemy is Hera (not Hades) who hates him because he is the result of Zeus' affair. She curses him with insanity and makes him kill his wife (Meg) and kids. He faces the trials on Earth not to find a sense of belonging, but to atone for these sins.
Nothing like Superman. Though, to be fair, Disney's changes were pretty much the only way to get a family-friendly film out of Hercules.
@sitakazukin Josh Keeton does the regular voice of hercules when he s a teenager. Tate Donovan does his adult voice. Tate Donovan sang in part though. Search up Movie Surfers: Hercules . So much info there. Also Hercules Musical Insights and Hercules Character Insights.
My elementary school used this song as the graduation song. I never realized how deep the meaning of the song when I was younger. But now that I'm an adult, I'm glad how much this song still sings to me.
See that scrawny kid singing up there? yeah that looks just like me... Minus the strength and Vocal talent. I just need a Phil and a good vocal coach! :D cause I'll toats go the distance
In my opinion, this movie took Hellenistic mythology, put it in a blender, and left it to mould before calling it the true story of Hercules. That said, it's not a bad Disney movie, but I really don't like it when movie companies take myths and debase them. I'm looking at you, Beowulf, and I see where you're hiding, Clash of the Titans.
@Sh4d0wKat while i do agree with you, I think hercules is the best when compared to the other two. i do like disney's hercules and thought beowolf was largely okay and clash of titans is completely forgettable.
@Rikulicous it was common for slaves in Greece to have red hair. In fact it was the stereotype, so much so to the point where in plays, the men would wear red wigs to signify they were slaves.
I was 6 when I first saw this movie now I'm 19 years old and i still love this movie this scene all ways gret me from 6 to even 19 i totally love this song.
