Pretty obvious that the "Michelle is blind" s/l wasn't working so they wrapped it up quick through this miraculous surgery. Thank god, lol.

Yeah, you can almost hear how the conversations with the actresss and GL went.
TPTB: "Hey, don't worry, we're going to get you out of this Helen Keller situation and guess what! We're going to make you a mafia moll."
Rebacca Budig: "I'm outta here."

LOL, and don't forget that she's also recently been in love with an angel. That can't do much for an actor's staying power ;)
haha, true! I think angels were big at the time this was on though....remember that show "touched by an Angel" Big hit with Roma Downey. The angel stuff never worked for me on GL...with the exception of Mo as an angel visiting!
