My wife and I saw him in Phoenix (about 1972) - what a show - he can sing all kinds of songs. I now send this to my wife - because he was singing about us...!! It's true where has the real country music gone....I hardly ever listen to the "new" country - its missing the soul.
This man was one of a kind writing and singing some of the best song's ever recorded In fact the writer's of today just can't for some reason write song's with the feeling this man put in his song's A big Thank's to Livingadream2) for posting this great music
i love this. i believe i have an album with him standing behind hank williams, ill have to check. i think this is my fave. its not only the tune, but the story, dont we all have one. WOW !!
from the heart to the heart ...the love of my life introduced me to his wonderful voice and love songs quite recently ... and wouldn't you know it - i even know quite a few by heart .... thank you for loving me Nick xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This is a time where the entertainers actually interacted with their fans who were very appreciative both as a individual and entertainer. So glad you could stop by!
Freddie ,from what I have read, lost the bulk of the money he made through bad investments. He has said if he had it to do over again he wouldnt change a thing. He was a karate expert for the LA Police Department,At 16 he went into the Marines. He was a mans man.
Also he ,I believe ran Buck Owens Blue Book Music Publishing in the 60s.
