X360 was modified so the "DVD Brick" would fit in, and the easies way was to cut the heat disipators instead of making the external cover a little bigger, while PS3 Fat is that, fat, but that extra space lets the aluminium heat disipators to work efficiently and the extra fans make it resistant to overheating.

Well, no, but you are being extremely ignorant when you say that. When I say that Microsoft has fixed the problem, it means that none of the Xbox 360s that are being made now are breaking. That doesn't mean that they can fix your "old" Xbox 360, and it will work for all eternity. The older Xboxs will never run efficiently. lol dumbass is not related to ram, is just the gpu cause is under dvd player and overheats, only solution is clean chips with alcohol make them shyne, then apply some thermal paste on them and carefully put the heatsinks on it carefully (its the important thing) boot with fan off, 5 mins then you get 2 lights (overheat) after that unplug and plug fan back, boot and there you are, a working xbox :D

so, by this logic, which is the first non-rip off I've heard, the towel trick might work if the 360 is overheated upside down which will make the mobo malleable again ,if it's sagged that could sag it the opposite way, theoretically allowing it to wind back up relatively straight, allow it to cool and maybe...if it does work, good, but more importantly it proves even more how much of an overpriced piece of cheap plastic crap it is, and Santa brought my sons when they were $400!

to be honest, i (was) a 360 fanboy, but everytime after 6 months, it would break. so i eventually gave up on my 3rd 360. then i got a ps3 last year and no problems at all. in fact i'd have to say that the wii and ps3 are the most reliable systems out on the market. MS failed to realize that they should of waited a little longer like sony did to make a quality console instead of trying to be the first one out on the market.
yea, they made the new xbox 360 elite and yet it still meets it's fate eventually. Although they last a little bit longer (by 2-3 months) than the other 360's, they're still considered an epic fail.
i find the easiest way to get rid of a 4 band rrod is to unplug it and leave it for a while when you turn it on it should have cooled down then just get a external fan
dude, the 4 band rrod is when is when something isn't plugged in correctly, to fix it, just make sure the cords are plugged in all the way. It has nothing to do with overheating.
thats for the 4 rings you imbecile (srry that was a bit much) there are different errors, the one with 3 rings is the most common and is the one he is addressing

lol dumbass is not related to ram, is just the gpu cause is under dvd player and overheats, only solution is clean chips with alcohol make them shyne, then apply some thermal paste on them and carefully put the heatsinks on it carefully (its the important thing) boot with fan off, 5 mins then you get 2 lights (overheat) after that unplug and plug fan back, boot and there you are, a working xbox :D

hey but when i turn it on the green light in the middle doesn't flash it stays just on and the RROD is on too, and when i push the power button on the 360 the power brick turns on green for a second then turns orange but it still shows the RROD and the green light in the middle. i did all that crap with the screws an washers, you think its only the power brick?

i had this problem when my graphics started to play up - I had saturation on all the screen , i turned the xbox off then back on by the plug and had the red light showing i searched the code and had 102 so thought it was nackered .
microsoft wanted to charge me £96.00,

so, by this logic, which is the first non-rip off I've heard, the towel trick might work if the 360 is overheated upside down which will make the mobo malleable again ,if it's sagged that could sag it the opposite way, theoretically allowing it to wind back up relatively straight, allow it to cool and maybe...if it does work, good, but more importantly it proves even more how much of an overpriced piece of cheap plastic crap it is, and Santa brought my sons when they were $400!

um i tried using the normal cables thinking it was the hdmi and i was wrong i think something happened inside the xbox that caused like a component to break or something lol just when i bought another 1 month live card for nothing it broke 2 days after i bought the other card so good thing microsoft sends me another month free oh but just call microsoft and make sure you have a second distraction for that month lol

Mine broke for the first time after I had it for a year about a month ago but because I left it on the carpet instead of the desk it had melted the solder off of the motherboard. Anyway, I sent it off to Microsoft and they did a free fix in two weeks it was in Munich and back from London. I don't see what everyone's bitching about, there's nothing wrong with the new Xboxs.

to be honest, i (was) a 360 fanboy, but everytime after 6 months, it would break. so i eventually gave up on my 3rd 360. then i got a ps3 last year and no problems at all. in fact i'd have to say that the wii and ps3 are the most reliable systems out on the market. MS failed to realize that they should of waited a little longer like sony did to make a quality console instead of trying to be the first one out on the market.

yea, they made the new xbox 360 elite and yet it still meets it's fate eventually. Although they last a little bit longer (by 2-3 months) than the other 360's, they're still considered an epic fail.

i find the easiest way to get rid of a 4 band rrod is to unplug it and leave it for a while when you turn it on it should have cooled down then just get a external fan

dude, the 4 band rrod is when is when something isn't plugged in correctly, to fix it, just make sure the cords are plugged in all the way. It has nothing to do with overheating.
