Every doctor I have every taken Becca to has commented on how rare it is for a child to have pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is most common in alcholics. Children rarely get it and when they do it is usually caused by a virus. It can also be caused by heavy medication use and gallstones. But all of these are still very rare in children.

I'm expierencing this too. I got the Gardisil shot for school. A month or so later I got the flu really bad, after that I started to get chronic constipation, which my family thinks is IBS. I am suppose to go in for a colonoscopy. They think its either pollups, chrons, or IBS. Its very difficult. And I was being blammed by my own father that I was making myself sick, which I have no control over. I understand your pain. My family also has a medical history of the conditions listed above.

I am so sorry to hear you are having to deal with the same things. I know how much pain my daughter has gone through and how discuraging this has been for us.

My suggestion is, try to talk to your parents/ doctors about a pill cam endoscopy. My daughter had a traditional edoscopy/ colonoscopy and they found nothing. So, they preformed the pill cam, and they found ulcers in her small intestine. We have used the kinoki foot pads, and found some relief with those. Hope this helps!

I would definately encourage her to check it out on the internet before she gives it to you. Becca's story is not the only one. You can also check out versa, it is the adverse side effects database. I would also tell her that a yearly papsmear is considered 90%effective in preventing cervical cancer, but the shots are only 70% cat best. That if she is that concerned, wait to see what comes to light in the future, you have till you are 28 or sexually active, which ever comes first.

My mother is FORCING Me to get this "vaccination" ... I am SCARED FOR MY LIFE to get this shot.. seeing as I am 14 years old I have not choice and have to get the shot if my mom says i have to the doctors have the right to hold me down and do it.. I also have a history of being allergic to common meds such as amoxicillin, ditropan, and Septra (excuse the spelling) I have also been in the hospital twice this year for scarlet fever caused by a med i took (can't remember the name)
