I mix my own paste and I use a 1/2 half blend of Raj and Jamila brand hennas, excellent essential oils, lemon juice and sugar. Hope that's helpful!

You are one of the only people I have ever heard refer to henna as "gross." Everyone else finds it absolutely fascinating and beautiful.
But, nice to see respect and appreciation of someone's culture and art. ;D What a flattering way to express yourself. ;D

I think of all the artits I have seen Kim is the best, I love anything she designs, she just has this unique style that I love , I have seen her videos and webpage and I want to order her books as well, I hope I can get them to Costa Rica so I can enjoy more of her designs

There have been medical studies that link Black 'henna'/PPD to bladder cancer and is a carcinogin. So it could be a factor.
