the motor you saw was to run the hydraulic pump to drop the loading deck. the holes in the frames are for weight reduction., the rear part is referred to as the trolley. That is a beautiful trailer and very detailed. No wonder it cost as much as it did. btw, the yellow sign is yellow because legally on a real truck that is the color it has to be.

Very detailed model, very nice. The engines in the boxes are called pony motors. The ones in the goose necks on a real one allow you to ajust the hieght of the load deck plus that is how the real ones atach and detach the necks. The ones in the rear on the streerable dolly is for the steering hydrolics for the dolly.

Because of the air lines and hydrolic lones i would guess that the boxes with the engines in them might be compressors or hydrolic pumps

Hey Vin, its a pony motor. Some trailers don't use the PTO off the tractor, its a self contained trailer meaning any truck can pull it because its got its own hydraulic system...great trailer, and another good vid man!
