Jagex f*cked me over a few times, the game bugged and i lost alot and they didn't care etc etc, so i made a new acc and botted it, i stopped botting when i wanted to play, so i go the basic skills and when i reached combat level 70 i stopped botting, now im nearly a maxed zerker and im proud of it, why? because i botted s*it lvls and i got all 75-99's by myself :)

There are bots in every major MMO. Companies learn to deal with the fact they are there. You say "Jagex needs to get rid of bots", what you are saying is they need to disable the ability for people to know how to program & make bots. Which is highly irrational, as Jagex has advanced over the years so have bot developers. If it wasn't for bot prices of raw materials would sky rocket & certain mini games would not even have players (soul wars). Jagex needs bots, it's a fact of life.
Heres my say, botting on primary skills is wrong, primary means the first step in the resources use i.e. woodcutting, mining, killing monsters. But stuff below that like crafting, construction and fletching, there is really no harm. In my opinion its only bad if the bot is stopping a real player play the game

@funnynesslol Yes, we do have the time to run it on the computer, it only takes 30 seconds to open and turn on the bot. As far as finding one goes, there's many famous macroing websites out there; therefore the time to find a bot would be around 5 minutes. Also if we want 99's we obviously do care about the game, except we don't have the time to play, yes that sounds lazy, but not many people out there would want to stay at a computer screen for over 10 hours a day playing a single game.
Also, people don't want to wait 1 month or how ever long it would take to get a 99 skill when they could easily get it by not being there. You might ask what kind of an achievement is getting a 99 skill when you didn't get it yourself, well some people only want to get their accounts powerful because they might want to sell that account later on, or in the gamblers' case, just to stake with it, or to dice.
I don't see how botters have "ruined" Runescape at all. Jagex shouldn't be caring because 80% of their players are botters, about 3/4 of those botters are paying membership; therefore making Jagex richer and richer. Do you really think that Jagex cares about the people who play, ofcourse they don't, they only care about making money, otherwise membership would be free, am I right?

Not only do they play the biggest part in destroying the RS economy at the moment, but they defeat the purpose of playing a game - to have fun. You say that botters are too lazy to earn 99s. Then why bother? Earning your 99s is supposed to be part of the fun, and if you're botting, what's the point? It's not you that earned them.

honestly whats ruining the economy and the game isnt the main accounts that want to make a few mil while they are living their life, its the people that make like 10 accounts specifically for botting a certain thing. its not the mains that are crowding frost dragons or the fishing guild, its the trash accounts that are made specifically as a frost dragon or fishing bot

bots can be a bit pesky, but they do keep the runescape prices balanced think about how much pure esse would be without bots? sure maybe theres a few serious pure esse gathers, but not as many as bots

i bot while i'm at school and while i hang out with friends its nice come home and i made a few mil without doing anything or i made a few hundred k experience in certain stats. i don't care if it ruins the game makes it easier for me to make money and actually have fun in this game.

Jagex f*cked me over a few times, the game bugged and i lost alot and they didn't care etc etc, so i made a new acc and botted it, i stopped botting when i wanted to play, so i go the basic skills and when i reached combat level 70 i stopped botting, now im nearly a maxed zerker and im proud of it, why? because i botted s*it lvls and i got all 75-99's by myself :)

There are bots in every major MMO. Companies learn to deal with the fact they are there. You say "Jagex needs to get rid of bots", what you are saying is they need to disable the ability for people to know how to program & make bots. Which is highly irrational, as Jagex has advanced over the years so have bot developers. If it wasn't for bot prices of raw materials would sky rocket & certain mini games would not even have players (soul wars). Jagex needs bots, it's a fact of life.

Heres my say, botting on primary skills is wrong, primary means the first step in the resources use i.e. woodcutting, mining, killing monsters. But stuff below that like crafting, construction and fletching, there is really no harm. In my opinion its only bad if the bot is stopping a real player play the game

What i found is that when i bot, i dont have like a feeling of fullfillment with my money and would thus end up blowing it. They only way to really make cash is by working for it, when people who bot finally realize that i hope they give up botting like i did, it may not seem like it, but its actually more fun.

I dont support botting, but dungeoneering is a shit skill and my chaotics aren't going to earn themselves. That being said, i despise people who bot dragons, barrows ect, these have totally taken control of the economy and taken a legit source of money making away from legit plays. I feel that botting is ok, as long as it doesn't take away spots or effects the economy for other players, ie dungeoneering.

I find it pointless to spend hundreds of hours botting skills that are generally useless, that is what ruined the economy. Plus, this is where the term 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em ' comes from.

@Ddtrain11 Dude you are never going to stop bots. They have always been on RS, even when free trade was not here there were bots, just not as many as there are now. The only thing I see the bots somewhat declining is if Jagex takes free trade away. To be honest with you that would make the game a whole lot better. I mean i played when free trade was here to begin with and it was fun. But now there are too many bots and I just can't take it anymore.

@funnynesslol Yes, we do have the time to run it on the computer, it only takes 30 seconds to open and turn on the bot. As far as finding one goes, there's many famous macroing websites out there; therefore the time to find a bot would be around 5 minutes. Also if we want 99's we obviously do care about the game, except we don't have the time to play, yes that sounds lazy, but not many people out there would want to stay at a computer screen for over 10 hours a day playing a single game.

Also, people don't want to wait 1 month or how ever long it would take to get a 99 skill when they could easily get it by not being there. You might ask what kind of an achievement is getting a 99 skill when you didn't get it yourself, well some people only want to get their accounts powerful because they might want to sell that account later on, or in the gamblers' case, just to stake with it, or to dice.

Jagex shouldn't be caring because 80% of their players are botters, about 3/4 of those botters are paying membership; therefore making Jagex richer and richer. Not only do they play the biggest part in destroying the RS economy at the moment, but they defeat the purpose of playing a game - to have fun. You say that botters are too lazy to earn 99s. Then why bother? Earning your 99s is supposed to be part of the fun, and if you're botting, what's the point? It's not you that earned them.

I do however think that you are wrong in saying that jagex doesn't care about their players; of course they care and they will (or make it seem) like they are doing their best in the fight against bots. They could also be level 3 accounts which no one has played on for over a year. In this case I agree with what you said.
