  • WHAT A BEAST

  • For some reason I strongly doubt that he "has a 9 foot grand"... I'm sorry, for two reasons: 1. It's only logical that you would bring the camera over there to film, to use a decent piano. 2. You are WAY to elaborated on it, "HE HAS A 9 FOOT GRAND, HE HAS A 9 FOOT GRAND"... I don't know, I'm just not buying it.

  • @Bingo1059 Um, you're very smart. How else am I supposed to answer the question of why he doesn't have a real piano, other than by elaborating?? Whatever, we actually broke up a while ago so these videos aren't even my responsibility anymore.

  • But for my own satisfaction..I never had my camera on me away from home, these videos were just for fun when we were bored at my house and never planned, he lived 30 minutes away so if did visit him, it was his mom's (his parents are divorced) and he had 3 loud dogs and a parrot that made videos impossible. But if you still insist that a professional musician isn't going to own a real grand piano, good for you, please enjoy the rest of your day casting doubt on everyone's videos for no reason.

  • Are you half robot?

  • Did he play it by ear?

  • @Violapwns Yup, sorry everyone...no sheet music

  • whoa

  • where did you get the sheet music for this song

i have been looking for it for a long time

  • u play very well!!!!! i wish i can play as accurately as you....always touching the wrong keys!!!!

  • Enjoyed the effort - thanks!

  • You should try to look at the positive side of things more.. the fact that people find it hard to believe that this is not sped up is actually a great compliment on how well he plays. For me even if it was sped up it's still a terrific job at playing this challenging and beautiful song. You asked for a way to prove it's not sped up.. i thought of a trick, you could have a ball(or any object) swinging on a string- that would make it obvious.

  • i love moves of these hands!!

  • for those 8 people who disliked this video, don't have appreciation for music and how it also helps people learn.

  • you are the greatest human being i have ever seen.

  • Simple explanation for all those who feel you sped up the video. Tell them to look at your hair. If the viedo had been sped up, it would be swinging far more wildly than it is.

  • You need to go to JUliarad ASAP. YOu can play! Goodness

  • pretty sure i just saw smoke coming from ya fingers !!

  • holy shit nice

  • It sounds so good, and you're pretty amazing... I want to learn it but i feel like i won't be as amazing as that

  • I give you a fair go. Your performance are limited by your instrument but make sure don't limit your self by instrument. Listen more & practice more. Read more helpful & constructive comments and response to it. At the end of the day, you are who you are and enjoy what you do! This is what I want to see a "Happy Man with his music to share all over the world"!

  • congratufuckinlations! OMG

  • That was not sped up...I can play that fast as well. I play a more simple version, but the right hand is still the same, and I play at the same speed. Excellent video, you played great. You play a lot more advanced versions than me :)

  • @lustxtoxdust Another way to prove it to people is the pitch of the note, if it was sped up the notes pitch would be higher...

  • your SICK!!!

Time for you to buy a real piano!

  • @Trinitrotoluo He has a 9 foot grand...this was my keyboard. But thanks!

  • Man at that speed you are wasted on a keyboard....

  • Comment removed

  • This is not sped up. His playing may seem fast but that is partially due to that his is playing on a electric piano. The keys on an electric piano weigh less which means you can play faster than on a grand or upright.

  • guys it was not sped up... look at the shadow on the right wall... the movement is to natural... there is no way he moved that slow then they sped it up and it still look natural

  • Wow That was great. AND NO IT WAS NOT SPED UP :]

the faster the better. Good job dude

  • very beautiful song! and a really talented pianist! but theres a part where it seems to be sped up.. his hand movements just dont look natural.. and even if you say its not edited, then he should consider slowing it down a little bit. it seemed to spastic imo.. but otherwise great! a pianist like that should have a real piano though.. nothing beats the weighted keys of a real piano (or the intonation with real pedals) and besides, weighted keys = finger strength. you might wanna consider it!

  • @thefamefactory815 It's not edited, I promise. He does get spastic when he plays, I guess you could say it's a trademark of his. He actually owns a 9 foot yamaha grand at his house as well as an upright. At school he practices on a steinway grand. The keyboard in this video is mine- I'm not a pianist so it's all I've got at my house.

  • wow ignorant pricks that know nothing ITS NOT SPED UP just because u guys cant play that good doesn't me you can go contradicting other people.

  • @bigphot MEAN srr

  • omg this is sooo GREAT I LOVE THIS SONG SO FRIGGIN MUCH i envy you >:

I LOVE THIS SONGGG <3 omg this is so amazing. ): I'm so jealous!

  • wow

  • omg you a god my friend you tear off in ways unknown

  • sped up? watch this and NO ONE will say that again

    /watch?v=vS_foc_NxI0&feature=related

  • holy cow look how fast his hands r moving

  • Snap!! That's SO fricken epic!!

  • nice work

  • jaiiiiig que mielda

  • Andrew's really passionate about his playing. The reason his hands move so fast is because he gets really into it when he starts playing. Further proof this isn't sped up? Look at his hair. The way it swings. It would be moving back and forth at an abnormal rate if it were sped up. Andrew's really talented.. I'm sorry to say it, and I don't doubt your experience with piano, but you're wrong about this. See for yourself, go to one of his shows. See him in person, then you'll realize your mistake.

  • Dear Youtubers,

i would like to let everyone know that i apologized to lustxtoxdust and admitted that i was wrong. i won't go into details of the apology. but to anyone who still doubts that this is real, it is. Andrew is a great musician and i was foolish for saying that it was sped up. Im sorry.

  • Listen youtube world, Andrew is my brother. He's been playing piano since he was six years old, he studies it in college, he's a master at what he does. I assure you this video is at normal speed. I swear, and I know this because I lived with him my whole life and grew up to him playing piano. And boy, was it annoying at times. Ever lived with someone who plays the piano? They NEVER stop practicing. That's what he does. Practices. That's why he's so good.

  • they are nice, its amazing, i metaphorically hate him because hes so fucking good lol, and fine, i just hate haters XD

  • twelve years is rather knowledgeable i would say. it is not humanly possible for eyes, brain, and hands to work together with that much coordination. and no it does not require a lot of knowledge to click the mouse eight times, type eight words, and drag something once. and i think that if you have enough time to shoot this, upload it, and defend it so adamantly then you should be able to squeeze five minutes into your oh so busy itinerary. and you cant lie or cheat to advance your piano skill.

  • not humanly possible? what kind of musician are you? the beauty of music is that you can make ANYTHING possible. look, im a guitarist, not a piano player. go look michael angelo batio. tell me if that shit is humanly possible. not to mention, look at his hair! its moving completely normal relative to his hands. look dude, im just as jealous and envious of andrew's incredible gift and talent as you are, but at least learn to appreciate those who have surpassed you and learn from them.

  • @obithekitty i dont know if its sped up or not, BUT there are DEFINITELY pianist that can play 10x faster then this. It has nothing to do with coordination, or eyes. Because some pianist play with their eyes closed and head tilted backwards. Pro. pianist memorize the hand movements or they can remember the feel. Only a retard would say that pianist cant play this fast, regardless if he sped it up.

It is humanly possible, and CLEARLY you haven't seen a great pianist in your life before.

  • hey you've got talent, i enjoyed this :)

  • Man, kudos on this, very impressive. I thought someone ought to step in here and say that this video has obviously NOT been sped up. Put this on an HD video feed and all doubt washes away. Although, I'm sure that everyone here that has said it was, has performed the 1812 Ov. Finale on two-hand piano before. They must all be music professionals to make such a bold claim... This guy isn't doing anything supernatural, he's just playing the piece very well. Hats off man, well done.

  • First off that was great playing you did, however I feel that you speeded up the video now that's just me but it's pretty noticible sorry to say but again great playing.

  • Wow!

  • wow is very good

  • well done

  • Two words...Sped Up!! when it gets really fast look at his left hand, its moving a little faster than it should be. Just my opinion though. Still sounded great, nice job.

  • Comment removed

  • Well maybe i will one day [i play the piano and guitar for around 8 years, im not any pro or something, just a hobby.]

Still what i see above is speeded up video, simple as it is, i really dont wanted to download it and anylyze frames but u can bet i will do it when i get a free time, not to mention i post the results.

And i didnt said he is bad musician, i said he lie its normal speed, watch closelly at his cloths, hair etc, u can obviously observe its simply speeded up frames.

  • apparantly then you haven't seen many good pianists play or been to many piano concerts. They have to be able to play that fast. if it were sped up it would be a LOT more jerky.

  • Wow @ all the people giving him flak. He's not a professional so don't critique him like one. Awesome job man!!!! I liked it :D

Do you by any chance have the sheet music??

    Thanks for sharing your video!!

  • dude, great! good! bravo!!! but get another piano or play it in the middle of the room. i think it is too close to the wall and that screws up the camera mic. please re post this and play a longer piece.

  • umm dude, I shot this for him. I don't know shit about computers or movie editing so I definitely have no idea how to do whatever it is you're talking about...In fact I didn't even know people could do that with videos.... I just added a title and uploaded it...and I can tell you Andrew is completely technologically illiterate (no offense Andrew) but he barely even knows how to use a camera. I must have a shitty camera if this looks edited

  • no. i didn't mean it looks edited. not at all. i was just talking about the audio. it sounds great and i get the feeling of the song. i will look for more videos.

  • to slow ; )

  • Wow, you are good!

  • why do u play at like superspeed?

  • the best version i can find of this is by cameron roberts. Have a listen.

  • not bad... not good neither, maybe it'll sound better on an acoustic piano. but talented you certainly are.

  • Do u have sheet music

  • you should definitely play on a classic piano, that would sound so much more awesome...

  • he sounds great on a classic piano, he has one at his house. it's just that whenever i record him for fun it's at my house and all i have is a motif (I'm not really a pianist). He actually has a video out playing on a Steinway grand, it's under my favorites if you want to see.

  • that was amazing, even on a keyboard it sounds amazing! i only started playing piano, and i see why it takes years of practice to play songs like that.... il get there one day hopefully =D, nice job

  • Bravo!!! That was quick and intense!

  • can you tell him to upload a tutorial of this song? or upload the arrangements?

  • Andrew, you look like you are having fun with this one :) Nice job. I hope you got an A!

  • You sound a little jealous to me....

  • great pianist!!!! i love this melody,,,,! well done!

  • wow did you learn zhat by ear? sheat music? or watch ozhers play it? zhat was amazing! very great job zhere. the lower keys however kinda blared ze sound, but zhats not your falt. Vedy nice job!

  • wow thanks =) there wont be one for a while unfortunately...we're both up in seperate colleges now back to school...but hopefully i can get some of his amazing compositions recorded, he's trying to get an orchestra to record his arrangement of carol of the bells!

  • Must suck to put in all that effort into that and for some of the wrong notes you hit to stand out like that. Simply not fair somehow. But other than that it was a brilliant performance. I've never heard the transcription for the piano so I'm not sure if this is your own arrangement or not, but either way that was passionately accomplished to perfection as perfect as you can get playing the 1812 overture on a piano.
