  • @MrColtoncl I think you meant to say, "Too bad McCain isn't president". Based on your highly impressive spelling and grammatical skills, however, I truly believe(even without a hint of irony) that you mean exactly what you say. Thank you for providing me with my daily dose of entertainment.

  • McCain can act!

  • I remember this skit, they were poking fun at those Lifetime movies.

  • Didn't vote for him, but he is a pretty good sport at poking fun at himself and getting into character when needed!

  • haha i'm not a john mccain fan but he was pretty funny in this

  • haha this just proves tht he woulda made a better president

  • ... i dont think he was really acting

  • LOL. For some odd reason, when he says "we were meant to be together", it reminds me Chucky!

I'll be your friend for life! LMAO.

  • this was back when Mccain was the just the coolest republican senator. The whole SNL episode was great. But....Woot! GOBAMA!!!!

  • That's why you never rely on what a liberal wants when choosing our own candidate to be "bipartisan" because they'll always stick to their own.

  • Not really, He lost me with the evangelical pandering and Sarah Palin pick. He knows better than that.

  • and who else could've he picked that didn't match that description? Hell, McCain has alway been for a babies life since conception.

  • Mike Huckabee(My #1 pick), Olympia Snowe(if it had to be a woman), Mitt Romney,Tim Pawlenty and many others. Abortion is a tool politicians use to divide and conquer. People can have abortions right now and it doesn't directly affect the lives of most Americans. I recognize the life of a child at conception but I'm pro-choice. To me abortions are an irresponsible, inhumane choice. but a choice none the less. The war and the economy are what're important right now.

  • You condemn them for "pandering" to the evangelical crowd yet you choose the biggest draw to evangelicals of the top 4 Repu. candidates. McCain had a problem being the temporary leader of the party because he was not typical member. Pawlenty should have been the choice for the time John decided to make the choice.

Just because it does effect others does not make it wrong. A one time murderer should still be punished even if they are not going to do it again.

  • Just because it's wrong doesn't mean it should be illegal. The problem with conservatives is that u're so caught up in showing u're on a a moral high ground that you forget you live and vote with OTHER PEOPLE. Btw i don't 'condemn' anyone for anything. Huckabee is a likeable guy and he knows how to explain his policy to all sides in a way that suggests he lets his faith guide his decisions but he's considerate of others. I support Barack but i expected Mccain to put up a better fight.

  • Scientifically, if it's a life it should count as murder. Of course if the mother is in danger they should allow it but that's rare.

Mike Hukabee would have been my second choice for those reasons. I misunderstand you when you said ""pandering" to the evangelical crowd"

You can tell most of his supporters were feeling the same way after the 2nd debate. I supported McCain because he deserved it the most. He showed the leadership needed when Rumsfeld was being a screw-up.

  • U mean if it counts as human life. Because a lots of things have life scientifically. The real dilemma is the location of the fetus and the right to privacy.Because the fetus is living inside someone's body. So the question is does the govt. have the right to determine what happens inside someone's body? IMO the answer is no. They can't even arrest a crackhead unless he/she is seen buying/selling/possessing crack. So the govt. has to find another way to stop abortions. A law will not work.

  • The key to ending abortions is not a blanket law based on a religion that not everyone believes in. It's thru social policy like Sex education that includes BOTH abstinence and safety.nobody's perfect. More afterschool/weekend programs. Start 'em young and tackle the problem from the root. It'll take a generation but it'll work. They're in congress to shape public policy. They're not religious leaders. There's more than one way. If something is not working don't get mad change ur approach.

  • cocolahtay,

Well said! You are so right!

    JM

  • I agree with you. Public schools is a great way to go at it; most private already do. We may disagree on how young or on how much but at least the approach may be similar. "Evangelicals" don't just want laws made because "God said so." There is scientific reasoning and other social reasons beside religion.

  • probably somebody qualified

  • What made Gov. Palin not qualified?

  • she doesn't know geography, politics, history, science, public speaking, nor current events. you have to admit it is obvious she's just not very smart. mccain nominated her in an attempt to win over hilary supporters because he apparentally assumed they were mindless & voted with their vaginas.

  • So you're picking and choosing when to listen to McCain aids. She sure knows her politics if she became Gov. from being a City Council member.

McCain nominated her because she seemed to show the best example of opposing the party when needed to instead of sitting there and taking it. I hate that her gender becomes such a great issue. It's really silly; it shouldn't matter.

I am sick of everyone talking how great it is we elected a black person. Why can't he just be a person?

  • i don't think it has to do with anything, i'm saying mccain's the one who was trying to take advantage of it.

  • "they'll always stick to their own" what about republicans?? Because we ALL know they have a HISTORY of being openminded about people's different beliefs and values - they CERTAINLY don't stick to their own -_-

  • Please be more specific. How far would say the parties "close-minded" policy been in action? What leads you to conclude this. It's all about reasoning not who can wine the most.

  • How about Prop 8?? I'm PRETTY sure that was more CLOSEMINDED repulicans then liberals.

But how about YOU give reasoning?! Jeez! Why is it always the atheist or the liberal who has to give reasoning as to why they don't believe/agree?

    And it's whine not wine.

  • Lighten up, it's an internet discussion. Not like we're actually on the House floor or anything.

I didn't care too much about "Prop 8" because it's a California issue. My state had our own Prop 8.

The most confusing thing about Prop 8 is how Obama & Biden both say in national debates they don't support changing the def. of marriage yet Californians like Ellen will have them say different.

I asked for reasoning because you gave vague attacks and I wanted to know what you were referring to.

  • If I thought he were acting, I'd think he was a good actor, but I don't think he's acting. Poor Cindy.

  • thats creepy but funny

  • lol at "wow he doesn't want that going on youtube a week or 2 before the election"

  • LOL, wow. mccain lmfao.

  • thats not good, shitty acting weird old man someone shoot him. Obama owned his ass in the election

  • Lighten up.

  • I remember this sketch. Can anyone find the whole thing?

  • Man, I want him back on SNL. He was good.

  • I love when politicians turn up on SNL either as hosts or just a quick cameo. Al Gore did a pretty good job when he hosted too, as did Steve Forbes way back in 1996.

  • HAHA McCain was good in that sketch

  • "I don't think he would want that posted on youtube" hahaha ironic

  • The Republicans need to rebuild themselves. This is a good start! McCain showing his funny (or creepy, lol) side gives him more appeal. Maybe the future 2012 candidates should make appearances. Romney or Jindal on future SNL episodes??

  • mmm..

u forgot to mention Mike Huckabee

  • or palin

  • The humor of the skit, however, was that it is not SUPPOSED to be creepy for a husband to be "waiting at home" or "lie down in bed" or join in the shower even. The woman was exemplifying an exaggerated version of a modern paranoid feminist who cannot be close to a man. At least that is how the skit seemed to start out. But McCain did make it creepy none the less.

  • The music made it creepy also.

  • Thank you, Captain Obvious.

  • thats freaky

  • McGramp, is a very spooky old man....I could buy him as a serial killer...

  • john mccain rules

  • LMAO OMG too funny

  • If his goal in this skit as an actor was to play the creepy husband/stalker, then he got the part right on (or substantially at the least), if only he could think about the economy as well as he could act.

  • phew lucky hes not president.

  • He was pretty creepy

  • lol. i always felt kind of meh about john mc cain. but that was pretty awesome.

  • woah...scary but at least he has a sense of humour

  • omg that creeps me out:D

  • At the end of the sketch he sorta sound like those microsoft sam and microsoft mike voices. Cooooool.

  • wow he is good!

  • Yeah so 99% of black people just happened to vote for Obama... So If McCain was the black one you dont think they he would be in the white house? Then explain all the dumb comments from Obama supporters who cant even think of one policy or thing Obama plans on doing for them. And according to exit-polls race did matter. And as for the statement on Bosses, big companies are going to try to use Obama. And they will. McCain was our last hope to stabilize the stock market. World End. 2012.

  • I think you have it backwards. Can't think of one policy Obama plans on doing? Take his tax proposal. He intends to lower taxes on people earning less than $200,000 a year. This goes against big companies. The big companies will be hit with higher taxes. This tax policy will help small business, and help the working man, which makes up at least 70% of the population. McCain was your last hope? Give me a break, McCain said himself that he knows nothing about economics. Obama does.

  • Economics? Once again, I dont think he did much considering he voted "Present" in pretty much every law that was attempted to pass. Obama didnt even pass any bills at all. McCain probably passed hundreds of them. And Obama is going to raise taxes in the worse time possible, you can go ahead in state your point. But ill be back to gloat about it 4 years.

  • He will raise taxes only on those who can afford it: people making over $200,000 a year. Everyone else (at least 80% of people) will receive tax CUTS. Did you by any chance vote for Bush to become President? If so, I wouldn't trust your opinion. McCain would have passed more bills, true, but that is because he has been in politics for decades. One thing I remember hearing is that McCain voted with Bush on 90% of the time. Considering what a terrible job Bush did, this reflects bad on McCain.

  • show me where mcain said he knows nothing about economics. And if your that rich you can hire a good lawyer and hide your money. and geuss where thats gonna bounce back? on the middle class. And theyre giving people who are too lazy 2 find work money.

  • agreed. all the blacks ive asked dont have a actual reson for going for obama.

  • well, too late now motherfuckers!

    obama has been elected :D

    live with it.

there isnt a point in argueing who is better anymore because america has made it clear

  • america elected bush...twice

    gobama though

  • de1043- you are a clueless, racist dumbass. It has nothing to do with color- it has to do with shady republican money mongers. Bush F'D up our economy so badly that it is still so hard for me to understand why people still try to defend him.

  • nothing to do with race? 99% of black people didnt just happen to vote for a black president that came from nowhere. and how can I be racist, for supporting McCain and merely stating a statistical fact? And no one is even talking about Bush smart one.

  • Bush is a republican smart ass! I'm glad that the 99% of black people voted. Now we have an awesome president that will help our future instead of flushing us further down the toilet!

  • What? When did I ever mention anything about Bush's political party? Thats all you democrats do, here what you guys want to and flush everything else out.

  • you sure are defensive for not being a racist. Political parties have everything to do with things right now, unless of course you're racist.

  • Hey your on the offense about me BEING ONE. So I need to be on the defense to prove that I'm not. Because I am not one, aside from being racist to that homeless guy who steals my food, I simply dont discriminate, its hard to do so when your interracial. Dude your making no sense. Are you sure you reading everything I write?

  • Obama didn't win because blacks voted, he won because Americans voted, also you can't ignore the Latino vote ect.

  • I realize that but others don't. 94% of the black people that did vote voted Obama, not 99% of black people. I am white. I obviously voted for him, as well as many others since he won. Republicans need their time to nurse their disappointment apparently.

  • OMG nice job mccain better than pailin on snl LOL

  • i still cant believe he did that part. i just cant imagine it. i just cant

  • oh wow.....

  • LOL

  • OBAMA!

  • wins

  • Want to see more funny McCain SNL?

  • Ha, he can act, but he sure can't hold up a lie. Wait...He lifted his hand above his shoulder!

  • WOW! Was that really him? The mofo can act!

  • He wasn't acting. He was just being himself.

  • Why are people trying to spin this. McCain is a well meaning guy with a good sense of humor, something some of you people need to get. This isn't supposed to change your vote, it's just supposed to be funny! And it is!

  • IS THIS REAL
