Who were the 3 that didn't like it? I'm sure glad I don't have their taste in music.Keep playing' the blues gods are saying' Nice job and thank you for the entertainment.
This is one of the rare times I've seen someone playing ragtime blues where I've felt like I was seeing the real thing. It's like a past forgotten, being brought into the present perfectly preserved. The sound you're making is awesome.
This video is always my first port of call. It lifts the spirits. Beautiful clean, tight picking. Made me pick up the acoustic again. Just wish I could catch all your licks. Keep on picking!!
I've spent the whole evening watching blues and ragtime on YouTube and this is the cleanest, most flawlwss performance I've seen! Perhaps not so flamboyant as some, but perfectly executed. I'd kill to be able to do this!
Treeeeeemendous! Blown away by your playing! Do you think is this where the Rev Gary got his inspiration for his version of the Ccandyman tune?
Obviously C-man is slower, but it's that C chord variation thing that the Rev does which is reminiscent of at least one of the riffs in the Blake tune.
The Rev did say he'd never heard anyone play the guitar like Mr Blake.
Man I really want to learn this song- your cover is so good!! :)
