just a suggestion.with the excavator put a small rubberband over the hydraulic to keep it down.i had to do the same thing with my cat 316.

Heres an idea 4 the 210 LC. Take a tooth pick or a nail with both ends sanded down so its a peice of metal. These MUST be the size of the plAstic part 4 the messed up cylinder. So get one, secure it to the plastic part of the cylinder, glue or tape, and make sure it stays on. Then try moving it bqck in. The metal or tooth pick or whatever makes it keep its shape cuz it doesnt bend. :)
