I would say this engine was smoother than my current 2-stroke '96 3.5 HP Nissan (Tohatsu/Merc). This video was put up while the engine was for sale, now long sold off. It was too heavy for my 17' daysailor. If I had kept it, I'd have swapped out the prop for one with less pitch, for better displacement thrust. Nice engine if you can take the weight.
I had this motor on an 8' portabote. Started on the first pull after 9 months in storage for the winter. The only down side was the weight. Otherwise, it was outstanding!

Hey Bought the exact same motor thou a merc 3.5 , I sold it however to upgrade
pound for pound you can not do better check out my post if you like ,
