  • From what I read, they had a shitty record deal. But fuck, they were good.

  • how do 4 guys from Cali sound and look so much like they r from the deep south?

    Had me fooled.

  • travelin' band still kicks asses

  • show.......

  • god bless ccr, john fogerty, though, is a dick.love his ccr moments and band though.

  • 41 years ago and it still sounds amazing and fresh. What energy and power. Just brilliant

  • my couson was 18 in 70, and he lived with us, and we would ride around in his 69 firebird, and jam to ccr, on the 8 track. i listen to ccr today, and brings back great memories

  • Songs (part 1): Down on the Corner, Travelin' Band, Born on the Bayou

  • MAN,This is just the FUCKING BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Sorry for the lingo, but I am PUMPED UP !,by seeing this ,after all these years....... STILL my favorite all time Band, and STILL The GREATEST AMERICAN ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME !!!...Long Live CCR !!!!!!

  • yes, today's music is across the board CRAP, compared to ALL past era's........

  • This SO needs to be out on DVD and put the whole concert on it too!!!

  • Lol at 9:50

"I get caught in the wrong position sometimes..."

    (realized what he just said)

    "Ooh."

  • John Fogerty next week live in Sweden! Will see him!

  • whats the first song

  • @TheVictimsX

    Down On the Corner

  • whos the speaker ?

  • @theringostarr96 Tom Donahue, San Francisco DJ. Was big doing album-oriented rock (not just Top 40)

  • you´re totally right hencan99, even 40 years later, you hear at least 2 or 3 songs of CCR on every party, really timeless! and i think they will be heard for the next 40 years :)

  • the greatest rock band after the beatles:)

  • Just cant beat that original group, unbelievable

  • anybody have this on DVD? All I got is the Japanese version with those unerased English underneath the translator.. annoying..will trade

  • Amazing group!

  • what happend to all those fans wish there were more CCR fans around!

  • why was not born in the 60 , the actual music sucks

CREEDENCE THE BEST ONLY THE BEST

  • THE BEST NO DOUBT

  • which is the name of this video

  • I dont care about the looks I get on the street when I'm in the mood I let CCR rip in my truck all windows down!

  • Thanks for posting this! I just read the CCR Bio...a very sad story. But the music is GREAT.

  • good live band

  • Thanks for posting. Great stuff.

  • I think you might be referring to CCR's actual cover of Little Richard's "Good Golly Miss Molly" found on the album "Bayou Country. "Travelin' Band" came later with the 1970 release of "Cosmo's factory," the same year of this wonderful concert. Thanks for posting this!

  • 'Traveling Band' was not a creation , it was cheated from Little Richards, Good Golly Miss Molly'.

  • @caravaggio31 Sorry, but you are barking up the wrong shrub.

  • @ironbuttermilk No, he's right, actually. Little Richard sued Fogerty because of how much TB sounded like GGMM. It was settled when Fantasy bought the rights to GGMM. Intentional or not, it still happened. Supposed to be a tribute song, but it didn't work out that way.

  • Then why the hell didn't all the blues guys sue the heck out of each other?

If there's enough money involved that's the first thing I suppose. Did Little Richard still own any of the rights at the time? Most artists didn't. When Harrison got sued over "My Sweet Lord" I don't think the actual songwriter brought the suit, or got paid.

  • What an excellent find! Wish I could download it and save for posterity! In the meantime, I hope it never gets scrubbed from youtube!

    Thanks!

  • Amazing...!! The creation of `Travelling Band', by CCR. probably was imitated, copy/ paste/ modified by different bands...!! CCR history was very nice to hear...!!

  • to bad talent just gets in the way in todays music scene sad but the greats , ccr would never get noticed today, cause ya gotta be beautiful and know how to dance ,oh yeah and lipsync fuck todays music

  • @busteroo7 hell yeah i am 28 and had a dad that was their biggest fan, this has harmonies and is musical and doent have no meaning it is just rock, never had a number one but a shitload of number twos

  • i have loved ccr since i was born! my first concert was john fogerty on the preminition tour in 98 when i was 4 yars old ;)

  • *Premonition

  • CCR is my favorite band, even though I'm only 18. I would have loved to be a young adult in their time. Not every young person these days listens to the music of today and I don't either. Just listen to this music and you should realize the power it has. Awesome I wish they could still be playing together today

  • CCR is one of those bands who wrote timeless music. no matter when it is, it still kicks ass.

  • i can totally can get into that! i myself am also 18, but i think CCR are awesome, such a shame they broke up so long ago

  • Same here man. There isn't much good music like this anymore.

  • yeah, it sucks too

  • just like The Dude i love CCR too

  • Comment removed

  • i want a Kustom amp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a very view were special, espacially this one !!!

    great !!!

  • i have three vids of them including the woodstock stuff that was unreleased but i want his concert is it available at all??

  • Was that Doc Pomus who announced them onto the stage?

  • The kids today don't know what they're missing; their music is crap. Yeah, I sound like my Dad but I'm right - hah!

  • m8 im 14 and i love ccr i never listen to something else well sometimes beatles or rolling stones but that is also from the 60/70's so not everybody is like the way u think

  • I know, i'm 15 know, but I was 12 when I started The Beatles, now my fav band are Queen

  • Oh I'm 25 and I was about 10 when I knew Creedence and all best rock bands ever... thanks dad... at that time mtv did not exist in Italy and by the day I listened to travelin'band I started to love rockandroll... not all kids are the same, not all listening shit, like much adults today. Kids keep on rockin' and teach your friends what's music.

    Excuse poor english

  • Freaking incredible.. can't believe how good Fogerty sings live, just amazing. A lot of singers sound great on their alubm then sound terrible live.. definitely not this guy.

  • doesn't anybody else think that the narrator sound like Orson Wells? lol

  • yeah but it's "Big Daddy" Tom Donovan. he was a famous San Francisco DJ/announcer in the 60s.

  • Sounds like "Redbeard"

  • WOW why in the hell is this not on DVD..... Does anybody know of any CCR concerts from around this area that has been released??

  • well i have 3 dvds of em with all diffrent concerts

  • My first concert too I was 11 and was the only kid in the place with a crew cut, white shirt, black slacks and black shoes.

    ricky

  • Great concert! My sister who lived in SF got tickets and she and her friend and I went. There was a lot of electricity in the air that night and this documentary captures it. It was my first concert, I was 16 at the time, and the most memorable one. It was held in the Oakland Coliseum in the building where the Warriors play.

  • CCR RESPECT

  • I've got the CD of that performance. Fantastic videos, many thanks!!!

  • he won the tickets on a radio show, KYA's Call Creedence Contest. Poster, album, and tickets to this shower, and a letter from the DJ, who my dad thinks was Tom Campbell, and if he remembers correctly, the man with the beard who introduced the band. Then again my dad was only 10, so do forgive him if he is wrong.

  • I would have loved to have been there. Too bad I was born in '82 instead of '52, haha.

  • @gunnerdan Tom Donahue, maybe?

  • @gunnerdan Tom Donahue, longtime dj , promoter etc. in the Bay Area , kinda founded KSAN, also did time at KYA so explains why he is here

  • My dad and granpda were there! thanks for uploading!
