I'm pretty new in Black Metal, but man...that Metal gendra is fuckin sick and I approximately know what people mean when they compare Mayhem's singers to each other, and to tell you the truth I have no shame telling that I do like that album better than De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (I do like it, though ), it is just what I feel, just my preferences.

Definitely Mayhem's best album by far (my favourite), though others would argue "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" is their best...I'm fine with that, but I love Maniac's vocals and the production on "Chimera" is awesome

Mayhem is just good regardless to me whoever sings. To me they are a band that went through pretty much a lot, not to mention have a dark past. But needless to say, hands down, one of, if not the well known and top black metal bands to ever emerge from Norway.

@spites1 it was because he resorted to alcoholism to combat his stage fright I believe, and it was less a fight than Blasphemer just kicking him down the stairs, I think...shame in a way, but Attilla is awesome, so I don't think Mayhem have suffered without him, and have been just as experimental and creative since he left...I am more concerned about what they will be like without blasphemer, but they seem to know what they are doing...

@spites1 Hey man,Meadeth has constantly moved forward with every album.Sure Risk was kinda bad but they always evolved.Slyaer on the other hand I agree with you on that.Mayhem have evolved greatly and not alot of fans are true fans because alot fo them only like the "pure BM" songs of Mayhem.I love what Blasphemer did wit Mayhem and Maniac.Im not a fan of Attila in Mayhem at all though.With other projects his vocals are good but I really am not a fan of his work on Ordo Ad Chao.But hes good.
