This song has always been my favorite Christmas song. I 've always enjoyed Bob Seger's version. Yet there are so many artists who have covered this song, whether it be a rocker, choir, or symphony orchestra, I like all of them, but this version here by the Jars of Clay is rules. Thank you guys. This song has been my Favorite Christmas song my entire life! (I'm almost 50). I believe that God has endowed each of us with "Spiritual Gifts" such as musicianship...To be able to present that gift to our Lord and Savior upon His birth is a profoundly overwhelming honor! I know there is no Biblical confirmation that a little orphaned shepherd boy played for Jesus. But his gift was given purely and from his heart.

God gave Us His Only Son knowing He would be Sacrificed for our Sins.

this is breath taking!!! an excellent entrance, very good process to a brilliant climax, perfect arpeggios and one of the best backing vocals i ever heard. When knowing that the little drummer boy was never my favourite christmas song and now i cant stop listening to it is something really impressive.
