  • lol $2000

  • I see no damage on either the rear or front of the Mazda6. Yes, the corner, but I could still sell it for full price :P.

  • Comment removed

  • i hate these tests, that bumper they hit has not give, if u hit a car they atleast may move or absorb some of the impact throught their bumper

  • the accord looked fine

  • @accordwild its the damage under the cover that makes the damage

  • But what they didn't show you was the fact that you just blew a hole in the radiator and now you'll have to replace that too.

  • WHO CARES ABOUT THE COST OF REPAIRS-ONLY THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE TO THE PASSENGERS. CARS ARE DESIGNED WITH CRUMPLE ZONES THAT CAN DESTROY THE CAR-TO PREVENT INJURY TO THE DRIVER. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS WAY TO MEASURE SAFETY PICKS.

  • Japanese vehicles, I never drive anything else by choice.

  • Where do they get $2,000 to fix the damn bumper? Go to a junkyeard and get a $200 bumper and have someone, or yourself put it on. $2,000 my ass...

  • @MrJoe2412 true... but some junkyards don't support '09 model cars... nor any newer models... if you wanted a bumper from a junkyard, it might be for a car that's older than 10 years... really, $2,000 include A/C damage and headlights also other internal damages like radiator and stuff... so really, $2,000 is that fix for that car

  • wtf, all the bumpers appear to pop back into normal position... wtf do they mean by poor???

  • @ktmyamaha01 There is also underside damage that isn't visible unless you go under the car

  • Yep, I only had to fix a plastic bumper once because I got rear-ended. No big deal.

I do have to sand and re-paint the steel bumper on my truck because of rock-chip damage and ensuing rust, while the plastic grille is perfectly fine.

  • That's why you don't run into stuff...

  • This demonstrates perfectly modern vehicles at their worst. Most people bump into something every now and then. You can't even hit a snowbank without damaging a car anymore. Modern cars are safer in extreme crashes. But bumpers have become non functional. The original purpose of a bumper was to protect the car. Imagine how good cars could be if you blended the best of old and new technology. We'll never see it.

  • Where is the Toyota Camry? It the top selling sedan for 7 years.

  • @Anc1952 It passed ;) Twice.

  • plastic bumpers = expensive

that's why they're not looking too good

  • Why do you include the Honda Accord an Hyundai Sonata in the video, and yet not test them. Also should be noted, the corner tests are performed at 3mph, only the full test is performed at 6mph.

  • @karkraz They did test them both. The reporter just didn't mention them for some reason. Probably an air time constraint.

  • @karkraz Because the US government has not invested in them.

  • @karkraz they did

  • why would they make it a wonderful, nondestructive vehicle? They wouldn't be able to make a shitton of money off of labor and replacement parts, WTF GTFO HERE NEWS QUIT USING COMMON SENSE OMG

  • lol

  • the planets oil reserves are fast running-out anyway.....the internal combustion engine is doomed to extinction...and not before time

  • lo wtf, at high speeds its perfecct but 6 mph it brakes, waste lol

  • Weird lol
