  • great video, love the tearing down of the house piece by piece.. great stuff

  • choreographed midgets dancing, this video was ahead of its time.

  • Wish these guys were still around

  • @carleneuman Check out the lead singer's new band THE DREAMING!!!

  • Love.

  • Awesome song; but I spent most of this music video watching the awesomeness of his hair :)

  • Everytime I watch this video I find myself thinking "What the fuck is with those midgets?" xD and it makes me laugh all the time! xD

  • Hate you VEVO.

    Love you Stabbing Westward!

  • This video is so post-grunge. You can see the heart shaped box-esque of it, plus he almost sniffed that red shoe.

  • If the singer wasnt like twice my age i would totally think he was hot.

  • HOR-YAY FOR MIDGETS!!

  • This song = my life 'til now.

  • Christopher Hill Is A Sexy Man <3 <3 <3 Him!!!!!

  • Best band in the world?!!!!

  • I get it now. He's the wicked witch and he just realized Dorothy killed his sister. Right?

  • @Dyno247365 He's Dorothy and the munchkins are manipulating him.

  • I miss Stabbing Westward so much. This song may as well be dedicated to the band at this point. Chris's hair was so damned awesome in this video, too. I can't believe I've never noticed all the WoOz stuff in this video before. I remember waaaay back when, being creeped out by the construction workers' weirdo dance...

  • I was very lucky to see them live when I first moved to Las Vegas Great Show

  • @bbussey1967 I saw them with Placebo back in the latter nineties and it was freakin' amazing!

  • wow ive never seen the video till now.....i didnt realize dorothy had that affect on him

  • @XoLiLRaVeRoX "Dorothy" has that effect on everyone. Ammirite?

  • what a strange interpretation of the wizard of oz....i like it ho:)

  • Dude.. This video is Wizard of Oz based. Never noticed.

  • Okay....that was the gayest ad ive ever seen. Apparently boy bands are making a comeback.....ugh.

  • @MeanT241985 Nope. This song was made in the '90's.

  • @gothicfog Im talking about the ad that played before the video started. It was about some new boy band or some shit. Ugh....

  • @MeanT241985 Well in that case, yeah, shit sucks.

  • @MeanT241985

I can only hope you're not referring to Duran Duran. Hell I'm only 23 and I know who Duran Duran are.

  • @wskare Naw, Duran Duran is good. This was some gay ass new boy group. I cant remember their name. I posted the orginal comment over a month ago.

  • So sad SW broke up after their 2nd EP

  • @amkorakk

    they had 4 lps

    ungod

    whither blister burn and peel

    darkest days

    stabbing westward

the middle 2 were my personal favorites by them

  • @amkorakk

    they had 4 lps

    ungod

    whither blister burn and peel

    darkest days

    stabbing westward

the middle 2 were my personal favorites by them, not only by them but by any band and i still listen to them fairly regularly

  • @davidseq u must have been sleeping under a rock then.... haha seriously mtv wouldnt play it....neither would anyone else...thats probably why

  • ugh, vevo again.

well- youtube is dead, somebody start up another one.

  • soooooo creative Love it

  • Wow, this was my favorite depressing band in high school. I found them on here and ive watched this video before, but i just figured it out after seeing it like 7 times.

And i know you guys realize this already but he's the frickin cheshire cat depressed cause dorothy is gone, once i figured that out it blew my mind.

  • @int0ddwetrust

It would blow my mind too, seeing as how the Cheshire cat and Dorothy have absolutely nothing in common. Why would the Cheshire cat, from ALICE IN WONDERLAND, be the only additive into a WIZARD OF OZ setting? Kid, you just blew MY mind. Can I have some of that acid?

  • @filthstep1 good ol lsd

  • I've loved this song since the 90s. Great lyrics

  • OMFG i've been looking for this video/song for almost 10 years, finally i found it.Fuck yeah! i love it

  • the best sw song is save yourself

  • The best thing that came of the 90s CRANCK ..my gf ,,,sw and me getting fucked over and now they r all gone ??????? u hear

  • sometimes it hurts so much to hear this song never played on the radio like way it was

  • YAY!!! i knew there was a stabbing westward song that i really liked, i kept listening to save yourself but it didnt seem right, i like a bunch of their songs, but this is the one i was looking for

  • -I love the whole "Wizard of OZ" concept.

    Love this song as well.

Oh Chris, Chris, Yummy Chris :)

  • I am just now discovering this band. WTF? HOW did they go past me for SO long. The more I listen...the more I LOVE. HOW did they get so very underrated? How did I listen to tons of music but was never speeding / windows down on a gorgeous country cruise with friends blaring their songs singing like rock stars at the top of our lungs???

Or is it now... I am tuning in way more because after 15 or so years... I am more filled with hatred and rage than ever before?

  • what was that crap?

  • Those red flowers reminded me of Nirvana's ''Heart Shaped Box'' video. And frontman looks like a mixture between Trent Reznor and Billy Corgen when he still had hair. This band always has the tendency to remind me of other bands, so I use it as negotiator.

  • amazing song!!!!

  • love the song but what the heck is this video about?! could be so much better....theres too much color for such a dark song. :P

  • @riannaucd Colour like that was a 90's video thing.

  • This song just fits. Describes the feelings I've had toward a break up years ago that I've, to this day, not been able to move past.

  • This isn't the SW I remembered. I can see now why they broke up. This is crap compared What Do I Have To Do and Shame.

  • @bmichael103 this song was on darkest days, probably their most well put together album. Be that the sentiments behind the song are somewhat mopey and give a sense of personal loss, this song added such strength to darkest days which is an album about the torment of breaking up with someone. the same album gave out great tracks like 'torn apart' 'thing i hate' 'when im dead' 'haunting me' 'save yourself' and 'drugstore'. what killed Stabbing westward was moving from columbia and going to kotch

  • @cbruckman83 Columbia dropped them and a lot of others to focus on Ricky Martin. Yikes! Anyway, it wasn't Koch that ruined them, there were other forces at work.

  • @bmichael103 This isn't why they broke up. Darkest Days was a great album.

  • My favorite band ever. One of my all time favorites by them.

  • Sooo HOoooot! I love this video!.. and Christopher hall! I miss them...they should get back together and go on tour..

    Im drunk btw...

  • SW inspired my band back in the day... Great music its a shame there aren't that many groups like this out there

  • So fucking Underrated! I hate the mainstream.

  • Fuckin' sux they broke up! Glad got to see them, one of the best concerts ever...

  • I like SW too but they are not "underrated" their instrumentals are mediocre and their lyrics are repetitive and again mediocre. I love the music cuz its something you can jam too and retards can remember the lyrics lmao but otherwise if you're comparing them to Green Day/3 Days Grace/Red Hot Chili Peppers they're not in the same league. I still love Stabbing Westward though and still listen to Darkest Days in my car on my way to work.

  • @Zensophen You say SW has repetitive music?

WTF DOES GREEN DAY HAVE!?!? 3 DAYS GRACE!?!?!? RHCP!?!?!?!

Fucking n00b. You're trying to compare SW to completly different bands. Old school GD is punk. 3DG is nurock and RHCP is just fucking RHCP. You can't compare any of those bands to one another.

And by definition SW is "underrated". Your opinion is void in this case. J/s

  • @TheUniverse101 I love all four of them, especially GD.

  • @TheUniverse101 Really? you're going to tell me that the music of SW is not repetitive? And when I compare them to those bands Im talking about it from a Popular Culture stand point. Wasnt comparing them musically.

  • @TheUniverse101 If anythin everythin that I just read just makes me think you're ignorant. I used GD and 3DG b/c they are repetetive but they have a better stage presence and image. Cuz when it comes down to it people compare bands that have not relation musically to eachother all the time. Mushroomhead and Slipknot, case in point. You do it not b/c GD is punk or 3DG is nurock or fucking justin beiber is gay. You compare them cuz Music is music and talent is talent and fame is fame. Blink182 FTW

  • Awesome video. I miss Stabbing Westward. :\

  • I love song associated memories and this song holds one of the best! =)

  • Chris Hall was 33 years old when this song dropped!! I remember my female friends back in high school were nuts for him... No idea that he was a gentleman of a certain age! lol.

  • tehe narutos pants were falling off

  • I want to see a video of The Hangover to this song :-)

  • LMFAO @ the midgets

  • the song is epically badass but this video sucks :(. they needed to do some Dark City emo type of shit not dancing midgets

  • @Kharmatos13 Dark City emo type of shit?

  • @Atradaitoshi it's a matrix-style movie without the kung-fu but of the same variety, people (or aliens) are fucking with our perception of reality, testing and studying us. It's actually pretty good.

  • @Kharmatos13 Actually I love the movie. I just didn't get the emo part. :)

A Dark City look would've been pretty cool, but I kinda like the Wizard of Oz thing they did.

  • I think this is the weirdest thing I have ever seen O_O

  • Christopher Hall is so hot and has an amazing voice...I love his incredible intensity of thought and feeling...

  • I miss SW....Please come back

  • chirstopher hall is so fucken hot i just wonder why he keeps putting in them blue contacts in. i swear he gots brown eyes but maybe i am wrong i dont know but anyways he is my dream guy all threw out his videos i am like damn

  • i hate myself when i try to get over you

i hate myself will i ever get over you?

oooh chris looks so hot 1:58

    <3<3

  • i expected the video to be dark like the album, but sw is the best industrial band of the 90's, i love this song still...

  • This is one of favorite songs ever!!! SW is so underrated....in my opinion they're one of the greatest 90s bands...

  • @edgarproductions I couldn't agree more!!

  • @edgarproductions

I like SW too but they are not "underrated" their instrumentals are mediocre and their lyrics are repetitive and again mediocre.

  • @edgarproductions

    I couldn't agree more.

  • @edgarproductions correction...they ARE the ebst 90's Band :( i wish they were still together...

  • @edgarproductions Yes , STabbing Westward , God Lives Underwater , and Hed Pe were probably the best that never got their due ... ps, the dreaming suck

  • yeah i dont think i myself could ever grow out of SW

  • i liked this song once upon a time but i think i grew out of it.

  • you think that many "little people" came cheap?

  • ha, i have to laugh because i still know the lyrics to most of their songs...

  • I never knew they made a video for this song, I can't see this video making any air time on MTV. It was pretty shabby, but I'm sure they had fun making it with how low budget it was. It is a drastic change from the other music videos.

  • It looks like any other 90's grunge music video.... nothing special, nothing memorable. There were plenty of other popular stabbing westward videos on MTV, this song wasn't even a single though.

  • I love this song!!!

But..why are the little people (no offense to people out there really) doing that...

  • I think the little people are an allusion to Oz. Kind of like hoping its a dream. Poor Chris though, being drug around like that. I can only imagine how much dirt he accumulated in certain areas.

  • @WingZero75 Ah ok! And Chris looked kinda awesome with the dress ^-^

And maybe they used fake dirt, like a lot of torn up styrofoam painted over (makes no sense really...)

    Thanks for your theory :D

  • damn right it doesn't make sense, that was bullshit

  • An allusion? More like blunt force. The ruby slipper (which should be silver), the witches hat, hot air balloon et cetera.

  • Darkest days was there best CD in my opinion and it sold the worst, WTF

  • why in the world would the band agree to make this video.... it's painful to watch.

  • awesome song & lyrics

but this video makes no sense at all!!

  • i was kinda hoping he's put on the dress...

    he didnt -_-

  • I love SW. The leadsinger has awesome hair and pretty eyes.
