  • @ManUtdFC5 all manutd fans are dumb HA

  • @ManUtdFC5 told HA

  • i passed with 3minors because im not a female lolol

  • @ManUtdFC5 It is NOT illegal to have your seatbelt off while reversing, this includes an instructor or supervising driver. Before inertia seat belts were installed you had to undo it in order to be able to twist your body to look out the back window, that why the seatbelt law allows you to remove it while reversing. Check out this site for all the exemptions w w w . lawontheweb.co.uk/Road_Traffic_Law/Seat_Belts

  • @www2passcouk hah legend shut him up lol :)

  • do u have to apply the handbrake when you have stop as my instructor has not taugh me to do this ,

  • Confused here! The point is to reverse & turn the car without touching the kerb or to follow as Examiner wishes?,If you can reverse well without swing the car and good distance to the kerb is that a fault? Because I don't understand what the examiner look in here, you ability to reverse left without causing any serious thing or your ability not to touch the kerb! PLS HELP GOT TEST ON 27 OCT HEATON where many instructors don't like

  • @nuramoboy During the exercise you must keep checking/looking out the back window, looking in the rear view mirror doesn't count. You must check your right blind spot before you start reversing and before you start steering around the corner. Try and keep 306° observation and make sure you stop for any passing vehicles or pedestrians. Aim to keep about a drain width from the kerb. If it goes wrong, check all around before pulling forwards and making any corrections

  • i hate driving

  • have my test on Thursday but still have problems reversing . pls give tips

  • @MsDriverg didja pass?

  • dont know if u have passed ur test or not but i find when reversing if u look out the back window and turn the wheel based on how the back of the car reacts, it gets confusing when looking forward and steering, thats what i think anyway

  • I am in the States and was wondering about the constant, interim use of the handbrake. Does one really need to use it at stop lights and such or is this more of an extra-careful technique of this instructor? All the best, Kentucky Boy

  • For a new driver in a manual car it can be a bit difficult to coordinate the clutch, brake and gas pedal to stop the car rolling. By using the handbrake they are more able to find the biting point and control the car more easily.

  • @LE55ONS Why not just use clutch control and break. rather than using the gas?

  • @PSTRIPPLEE Some corners are uphill, so it stalls a small engine if no gas is used. Most modern cars can do it without gas as the engine management keeps it running even under load. Older cars will keep stalling if no gas is given...

  • I am not being rude but the key learning points may be too complexin this vid. I havent got my license yet but my test is book for a few months time. I am learning with red driving school and this manouver is not so hard. I was taught to do yur obersvatioon etc, when the urb dissapears in your left mirror thatts the turning point. Then turn the steering wheel half a turn whilst reversing and observing etc. This gets you around the corner easily without touching... hope this helped

  • Half a turn might get you around some corners but not all. Some of them require 1 turn or even full lock depending on how sharp the corner is. 'Hand to eye' coordination is the main key to this one, if its getting too close turn the steering away, if its getting too far turn it towards. After enough practice you can steer automatically without making the mistake of turning the steering the wrong way

  • If you think you will pass your driving test by just 1/2 reolution. I garantee you will not unless you are very lucky with the conrer, all corners are diffrent. You have over siplified it and orer cofident. I hope you have encountered diffrent corners by now. I always say to my pupils every corner thay might pick on you test there is a catch. that is why it is in the top 5 reasons to fail.

  • You guys are right, only some corners. Some is a full lock. I got my test next week and i wont be using that half turn theory i highlighted in my first comment. But reversing around a corner is not the hardest thing to do, i quite enjoy it. I say all learners should be positive in their ability and as long as you dont touch the curb or go over the white line in the middle of the road they should make. Good obeservation is also required.

  • @shellz99

how can u learn if u got no licence.. nice red...lol

  • It's not as easy as it looks...i failed my test yesterday because i balls it up!!! Have had loads of lessons but nope...i still can't do it :(

  • Change your instructor!

  • Try and look as you drive past the junction - is the first kerbstone that curves around the corner a long way from the turn (sweeping) or is it really close to the turn (sharp)

  • the way i got taught, there is an exact science to it, but I dont know now :(

  • Most people try and rush it too much, especially on mock tests or the real thing. I teach my students to stop at the first point of turn and then again when you are parallel in the new road - thats when you need to straighten the wheels - a common fault is for students to try and keep it moving and its surprising how quickly it runs away with you towards the kerb!

  • my problem is some time get confused if its sharp corner or the sweeping one, wats the best way to identfy it?

  • I don't like the instruction to use your miror as much as in the video. You should be able to see the kerb in the rear left window and use this to uide you around the first half of the corner

  • thank you, this helps very much!! (:

  • lol everytime i do this with my instructor its simple but when i get a mock exam and do it by myself i get it completely wrong lol. after the car is parallel do i turn the steering whell slightl to the right ?

  • As the car arrives paralle straighten the wheel. So you need to steer away from the kerb just before the car is parallel

  • @lloydbanksfan123 just adjust the steering whell, small quarter turns to straighen the car, thats all it is, practice makes perfect it isnt as hard as it seems. trust me

  • best on youtube

  • although nowone seems to agree with me i have done some reserch and although each case is different dyslexics do often have trouble with coordination and the development of automotive skills and often (but not always) take longer to get through a driving test.

  • i agree, im not fully like dyslexix but I set my gas and control the clutch but my right foot wants to move too and i physcially have to force it to remian still.

  • I was just wondering, what is the actual point of this manouver? I can't think when I'd need to use it in general driving.

  • when parking backwards into your drive way, for easy "pull away" exits

  • just incase you cant turn around and you have to reverse back into a space or road? i think.

  • i can do this manoevure easy it just needs good coordination.

  • Hi I have trouble with this but I can do reverse parks and three point turns I think my dyslexia is to blame as I do ok with general driving but my judgment of which way and how much to steer goes to pot when going backwards what do other dyslexics think?

  • Reverse parks use reference points and so don't require variable steering.I have 2 dyslexic pupils, but they don't seem to have more trouble than anyone else when reversing. I've found if you reverse around enough corners the problem goes away. I spent about 6 full hour lessons reversing around corners with a student. They then enjoyed reversing around any corner with full confidence and passed 2nd time(Failed the first one for being too close to parked cars)

  • Its all a matter of getting the hours in i reckon, sounds obvious i know but thats how i finally nailed this maneuver

  • Comment removed

  • don't think thats the reason why.... r you joking!

  • I think so we got to deal with it

  • what has it got to do with dyslexia? i think its just practice, alot of people struggle with doing this one. some ppl can judge distance better than others. but honestly, i was hopeless at first and then i got good so give yourself time.
