I've had the phone for over a year with Verizon Wireless, and my only real problem is the lack of any really good 3rd party software apps. Verizon doesn't really support it either. No its no where close to an iPhone, but it is a really nice phone if you like your gadgets with buttons and hate 100% touch screens like myself.

Its also no bigger than a Treo. Smartphones are generally larger, but than again your doing more than just texting on them.

IF CONSIDERING; I got this phone a while back. i do not advise anyone get it. the internal memory is very minimal. the size of the phone is obnoxious. its bulky and uncomfortable, the size also makes it difficult to keep in a pocket and it could easily be lost. there are very few shortcuts and most people wouldnt use half of the "advanced" programming it contains. i would recommend getting a more recent model of smartphone because this phone is ridiculous in size and quality. just a heads up.

I think its because now we're are packing so many features that we didnt have before into all these phone that we didnt have in previous models. It will just probably take some time before the phones with alot of features become thinner and smaller.

You need power point on your phone if you are a college student. Some college courses give out power point presentations for notes, and trust me man, it's very useful!

I presonally like Samsung. Some of the best phones I have used. My son had one of the cheaper models....his phone went through the washer and dryer, fell off the car as we where drving down a country road and was found 3 days later by someone.....scratched up, but darn it....the phone worked.....and after almost 4 years and only 1 new battery.....it is now my youngest son's phone....that phone will never die!. Samsung makes great product. My LG enV's screen went dead within 8 months.

I can dial in remotely to my servers with a command prompt.

Remote desktop connect to my PC. (I could probably do pcanywhere, but I haven't tried.)

I can install any applications I want.

Full keyboard, none of that on screen goofiness.

I have all the data I want on my "main screen", iPhone is a bunch of buttons.

I can use my i760 as a modem for my laptop. 600kbps/100kbps dn/up.

I sing and dance around the iPhone all day long :-P

I have the data plan on my phone, with programs running on my phone and laptop, it allows my laptop to use the data plan of my phone. So i have internet connectivity on my laptop through my phone, just as long as i'm within the verizon data network.

I haven't found a data network deadspot(phoenix and most of washington state), the coverage is outstanding.

u sir sound so jealous. Although the guy in the video is an ass, the phone is awesome. I've had it for a month and it is about the same size or smaller than the iPhone but offers more useful PPC functions. Plus it's on the Verizon network which works better than AT&T.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago and with my w year renewal and my company discount, it was $219, without the company discount, it would have been $250 with the renewal. If you just want to buy the phone outright, then it was about $550.

I'm beginning to think that Samsung favors left handed people :-) The numbers here are easier to type with left hand. It is much easier to slide the phone with your left hand. The stylus can only be pulled out if you hold it in your left hand.

On the I600 the microphone hole is on the right side, so you have to hold it with your left hand to get it nearer to your mouth. Then new i780 has its stylus on the upper right side on the top of the phone... so much for a conspiracy theory :-)

i got the iphone, and its so much better than that samsung. by a thousand miles!! the iphone only has one button. yeah, thats it!!!!! and u dont need a stylis. it can do ANYTHING!! and its keyboard is on the touch screen. and when u are watching videos u can turn it and it would automatically turn by itself so it's wider. and may i add, the whole phone is the touchscreen....so the touch screen is big!!

Just like cniemeyer said, you can't type for crap on the touch screen and setting up email is a pain. I've setup 3 iphones and there is no way people can type as fast on that screen compared to this keyboard, plus ATT network is spotty at best in the southeast.
