  • you are right on the high Volt drills , I cut my hand auger to put atachment on for my dewalt 18 volt and there just wasnt enough torch ..It took 2 mins to drill 2 inches of ice , and the drill kept slipping . so I will stick to my jiffy propane auger. they say to disconnect the propane -they dont say if you dont disconnect the propane it will empty the tank. live and learn .

  • Hey, you know what never runs out of gas and low on battery, YOUR ARMS!

  • So to sum this up.....after use you will be standing there with 3 holes in the ice and a mangled broken arm. Hey at least its 5 lbs lighter than a gas auger =-/. Stick to a gas one. These are SUPER dangerous for drilling like that and like he said the battery doesnt last for piss.

  • Great video!

  • go to 3:40 sounds like a tolite

  • I feel it was a fair evaluation of the plus's and minuses associated with such systems. For some, this is the best option, maybe not so much for others. There is a lot of early ice applications where I see this as very beneficial.

  • not really...a good gas auger is 400..at least now days! The purpose for these was for remote lakes where is isn't very practical to haul in a gas auger. Like he said these do have a purpose

  • tha whole set up of one of those costs more than jus buying a regular gas auger...wats the point of buying the set up of a electric auger when you can buy a gas auger with no limitations to the ice or temp at a lower price...
