Seriously, If I were an Iraqi, I would put down my weapon and ask American soldiers to build things for my kids. I would not continue to let myself have to see my kids playing around in dust, mud, and puddles, which is what I'm seeing from pictures of Iraq. I would work with Americans to build new schools with nice floors, nice walls, nice desks, nice labs, lights that work and are bright, and I would ask them to help me build sidewalks, clean restaurants, new stores, etc. I wouldn't fight.

Pig blood is a common accessory in some front line units. Being a New York City Firefighter, I placed a FDNY playing card on their chests. Despite what some media outlets portray, we are surviving more due to our superior equipment and racking up more kills due to our superior marksmanship training. There are very few Iraqi insurgents left because they're dead. What you see now are cheap imports from other third-world cesspools. Be assured though, they're next. Payback is a bitch.

Hmm... if 71% of Iraqis want the US out, you'd think they would have mass protests and civil disobedience (see "Lebanon, 2005" where the Syrians were forced to leave after 30 years of occupation w/o a shot fired). But for some reason that hasn't happened. And if our presence causes instability, you'd think things would get better in neighborhoods / cities that we pull out of. (Fallujah, 2004 or Mansour/Ameriya/Shula, 2006). That hasn't happened either. Don't believe the hype!

The question is "why hasn't it happened?" Maybe it's because we're the only honest broker and everyone knows it. Saddam isn't the answer. The Iraqis want a politically divided state with independent sections; it's the kind of thing the US would've supported a few decades ago. Let them create their own system, instead of dictating it. IF they fail and want help, there'll be legitimate reason for NATO, etc, to get involved. Right now, everything has been forced onto Iraq. (Not all Americans are idiots.)
