@TheZeppelinlover Dude your ridiculous. John Bonham looked fucking amazing. Seriously. I wished I could shake his hand today. It's true his health declined, slightly (i.e. gained some weight) due to depression from spending so much time away from his family by drinking all the time. But his beard is fucking sweet. How can you be sad?
@DOBERMAN7203 I agree completely. The Bonzo pictured here is not the Bonzo I would want people to remember. The real Bonzo IMO, the one who is voted number 2 above all other rock drummers, is the one between 1968 and 1975 IMO. Especially between 1968 and 1973. His solos are far more technical, sophisticated, and explosive than the one here. Contributing to I think was the fact that he was in good health around that time. He was about 100 pounds lighter at least in 1970 than in 1977.
Man, John Bonham pudged up a tiny bit lol. But ya know what? THat was his style. He didn't give a wank. All he wanted to do was party and have a good time. What a man.
@MrRichBiker Damn shame. It seems like by 1979 they just were worn out. From 1977 and before, it was like a totally different band. Then, came knebworth. And then they seemingly reformed themselves and were heading for something even greater than what they had achieved before. But, between Jimmy and Bonzo being smacked up, it was sketchy performances. Nonetheless, classics and raw.
@taypax He occassionally did weed. But I really meant smacked up for Bonzo by him being soo drunk its hard for us to imagine how or why he was even still conscious at these concerts lol
@taypax I read an interview with JPJ because I was also curious, and he said that he did as many or more drugs than the others. Maybe not smack like Jimmy, but he said he was just quiet about it and didn't care to have other people see or hear about it.
@sonoranguitarlois The Song Remains The Same, The Rover, Sick Again, Nobodys Fault But Mine, Over The Hills And Far Away, Since Ive Been Loving You, No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, The Battle Of Evermore, Going To California, Bron Yr Aur Stomp, White Summer, Kashmir, Moby Dick, Achilles Last Stand, Stairway To Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll !
My favorite moby dick footage ever. Not only is it awesome that they used Out On The Tiles, but this footage is a great way to learn Bonhams solo because the quality of the sound allows you to distinguish between each of his drums, and the video shows a good view of his hands as he plays. Thumbs up from me.
@eldererr yes jpj had a pretty bad heroin problem

1977 was not too bad of a year for Led Zeppelin. They did quite alot and were definitely on when they were on.
