This is something beautiful! I watched this video and I can't stop crying. A lot of my grandfathers died in the war. Once a month I visit the graves of the unknown soldier. W kronice o legendarnym Popielu (Pompiliusz II), którego uczynił synem Popiela I i wnukiem Leszka III. Miał być władcą gnuśnym, tchórzliwym, zniewieściałym i zdradzieckim. Za namową żony miał wytruć swoich dwudziestu stryjów (synów Leszka III), podając im w czasie uczty zatrute wino, a następnie odmówił pogrzebania ciał. Z trupów wylęgły się szczury , którego długo ścigały Popiela wraz z żoną i dwoma synami. W końcu dopadły ich ukrytych w wysokiej wieży, gdzie zostali pożarci.

@olekman12 I've been to Lviv and spent considerable time there. I also have a book published in 1912 about the then Lemburg which pictures the major building and gives the name of the architects/owner. The jews which made up the second largest "ethnic" group in the city, (if you exclude them from other groups) owned most of the important private real estate in town. The names are now changed. Some of the Polish monuments were moved to Breslau and Stettin.
Example: in 1956 Gomulka takes power with the AGREEMENT that he uses the military to crush any Polish uprising help for the Hungarian uprising, and invade Hungary on Russian command if ordered. Gomulka removed some of the Polish top generals and then ordered the killing of rebellious Poles and students. If he had instead supported the Hungarians, then the Russians would have been forced into a different position to negotiate the release of East Europe.

The killings of the 2400 women, children and old people in Marlbork were clearly "organized" and not random violence.
Example: With the expulsions the Poles held back and refused about 1,200,000 Germans the right to leave. The families were kept in the camps and they were used as forced labour to run the infrastructure of the German cities and towns that Poland took over, treated terribly. Of these hundreds of thousand never made it out and were never heard from again.

2. All the top people, at Nuremberg were executed with possible exception of Speer who slipped the noose.
3. The Frankfurt trials in the earlhy 60's sent a good number into long penetentiary sentences.

Film świetnie zrobiony, moje najszczersze gratulacje, wzruszyłem się nieomalże jak ten Chorwat. Zresztą i Polska i Chorwacja to kraje katolickie, stąd zapewne ta sympatia. Wydaje mi się, że dobrze trafiłem... Filmik w którym można hejtować Niemców i nikt nie będzie mi zabraniał. Ha! Więc... Ukraine was occupied by Poland just as Ireland was occupied by England. Both Ireland and Ukraine experienced colonialism and imperialism by the English and Polish respectively.
Poland was an imperial state that used colonialism in Ukraine to subjugate and exploit Ukrainians. That was the purpose of bringing in colonists and the Arenda system. as well as "pacification" programs to deny Ukrainians their human rights, and self-determination.
Happily, Ukraine is free of that now.

Basicly it was polish territory, but many Ruthenians settled there later. BTW many Poles on Ukrain were descendants of Ruthenians, who were polonized. They used to say about them self "gente Ruthenus, natione Polonus". So they weren't colonists.

@olekman12 I've been to Lviv and spent considerable time there. I also have a book published in 1912 about the then Lemburg which pictures the major building and gives the name of the architects/owner. The jews which made up the second largest "ethnic" group in the city, (if you exclude them from other groups) owned most of the important private real estate in town. The names are now changed. Some of the Polish monuments were moved to Breslau and Stettin.

Example: in 1956 Gomulka takes power with the AGREEMENT that he uses the military to crush any Polish uprising help for the Hungarian uprising, and invade Hungary on Russian command if ordered. Gomulka removed some of the Polish top generals and then ordered the killing of rebellious Poles and students. If he had instead supported the Hungarians, then the Russians would have been forced into a different position to negotiate the release of East Europe.

The book says they were Christian, but I don't know. I UNDERSTAND where they came from, and there is a "ratinoale' (Read for example H.S. Except for some things still hidden, (the use of the camps after 1945 for example) we'd probably agree on most of the factual base. (I hope). What I could NEVER understand until recently was HOW and WHY it came to the 1914 1945 period and all that happened. I connect the dots of history a little differently.

I really believe that if Pilsudski -- the old scoundrel -- had lived a few more years, a way might have been found to avoid the war altogether. The ignition was one horrendouse strategic failure by a overly reckless Hitlers and a Beck who made some very stupid diplomatic mistakes by being cornered between the incompetent French and the untrustworthy English.

Between 1975-1979, the project interviewed hundreds of witnesses who had given testimony before the German military judges in 1939-45, and more than a hundred of the judges who had been involved in the investigations...

Its records were found hidden, and wet but readable in 2007? and moved to Moscow for restoration. I was granted access to those files In July 2010. (I know of 37 camps) In the chaos Poles behaved badly (hacking the arthritic fingers off old German women to steal the wedding rings). Example: With the expulsions the Poles held back and refused about 1,200,000 Germans the right to leave. The families were kept in the camps and they were used as forced labour to run the infrastructure of the German cities and towns that Poland took over, treated terribly. Of these hundreds of thousand never made it out and were never heard from again.
I can spend a week adding to this list, just like the Poles can spend a week listing all the German atrocities.

1. Ironically, when the SS found its OWN 'stealing' this booty they executed them (such as the camp commander who was Irma Geese's husband, and then Irma Geese herself, but the record shows quite a few executions.
2. All the top people, at Nuremberg were executed with possible exception of Speer who slipped the noose.

Kasubian along with other forms of speech are called "dialects" by some and "languages" by others. The term Plat Deutsch (Low German) means what it means, and its native to my first language, and in my German dictionary means what I said it meant. You want to call me "dumb", fine!. Basically, the German society has stored those previous identities in its Heimat and Vaterland form of identification/patriotism, but that's been as far as it's gone and the German rulers could allow. Read on history of Kashubian dialect, learn about the father of the Kashubian as it is now, Florian Ceynowa, his works and the buzz it was getting in the area with local people at the time, read it (hint: you won't find it in Wiki). The stance on Kashubian was clear before, even outside of Poland and even with the learned (for example read what Pavel Josef Šafařík had written about it) - it was German policies, Russian panslavistic policies

To this day you still have tens of millions living in the low German vernacular. Kasubians who wanted to prosper would also have spoken "HochDeutsch', but the law ALWAYS allows transactions in the different languages. Only in East Prussia where the Poles kept coming in and forcing the issue was there resistance....

The dialect most similar to Hessian is Palatinate German (Ger.: Pfälzisch, pronounced [ˈpfɛltsɪʃ]) of the Rhine Franconian sub-family. @historatia Am I? And what does your text read? That it's a CENTRAL German dialect not a Low one.
Here on YouTube there are samples of people speaking "Hessisch" dialect as well as "Platt". Check some transcriptions in both too, and you'll find it's like night and day between the two.

@historatia Where does it say "Frysk" stemed from Low German? It doesn't because it didn't - Frisian is a West Germanic language alright but not a variation of Low German.
East Frisian Low Saxon (Low German) is just a variation of Low German, not Frisian, that is spoken in East Frisia (which is the territory of Germany), and it’s got several sub-dialects (for example Brookmer Platt and Rheiderländer Platt).
