The thing I loved about Rod is that he introduced me to my boyfriend when I worked in the park in 1993. Lonnie -- what a nice guy. Rod used to joke that he was the queen of the fairies at disneyland and could pick them out of a crowd.
I miss watching Rod Miller play. My friends and I used to sit next to him and watch him play for hours while we chatted about random crap. What an awesome guy.
Back before digital, long before video, I recorded Rod Miller on Super-8 sound movie film! I think it was in 1980, and it is still as crisp, clear and colorful to watch now as it was then. Back then he was still smiling at the camera and having a blast. What wonderful music came from those majestic fingers....
Met him once on a high school excursion to Disneyland. That man has a way with a piano.
