The way you can tell it's not Teto is because Mako has a slightly deeper voice than her and Miku. Not by much, but there is an obvious difference in certain songs. :3

The songs actually about The characters Uninstallation. She knows that her end is near, and that she only wished to please her master, and sing. She understands that she's only a virtual singing toy, but she wishes that she could sing more to please her master, Wondering what she did wrong as he uninstalls her.

Actually, her master never uninstalls her. The reason "her end is near" is because his computer got a virus that was slowly killing all of the Master's programs. As it began to eat at The Singer's program she new that all she could do was sing her last goodbyes to her Master. Which is why in the song The Singer says that she is "sacrificing sound quality". It's because she knows that she is running out of time. This is all implied by the end which says "an irreversible error has occured."

Utau is a free Japenese software program, its like Vocaloid where you can creat the voices but its free. Thats pretty much the only difference between Vocaloid and Utau.
