I regret having my son. I was young and unprepared when I became pregnant, but I was talked into having him by some Christians. His childhood was a difficult time, and he grew up to become a convicted child molester and a deadbeat dad. He is a complete failure at life. I was not ready to be a mother, and I should not have gone through with it. Not every baby is a blessing.

Look at the Framingham longitudinal heart disease study, laid the framework for diagnosis and prevention of heart disease in women as well as men--a first for women--and there's your answer. Before that, heart disease in women wasn't considered important enough to study. Not that it didn't exist, but that it was underdiagnosed. Do your history homework.

What I'm saying is, abortion is a controversial subject, it's not just about a decision that you can make with positivity or negativity. I can't see how you can view it so simply, as if it's just a basic choice when having sex, becoming pregnant, and deciding what to do thereafter are very emotional experiences, no matter how "weak" or "strong" you are.

PMS used to be considered psychosomatic, I had horrible bouts with it and the gyn's sage advice was "cut out caffeine and salt". Had I been a man presenting with those complaints, the doc would've gotten himself busy finding a medication to reduce the symptoms. By concluding that emotional health isn't affected by abortion doesn't do women any favors, it's quite the contrary.
