You might check the dogs toes. It looks like your dog has that foot fungus between his/her toes. Soak in epsom salt twice daily and don't rinse. Just dry feet afterward.

@barclaylife I have two beagles. They both have exactly the same diet. I feed them raw meat and green beans for one meal and Beneful Healthy Diet and green beans the other meal. My male looks anorexic and my girl is chubby. She isn't as heavy as this guy - you can still see a waistline curve on her, but she is significantly larger than my male even though they eat exactly the same food in exactly the same portions, including green beans which helped my male lose weight when he was fat!

Some dogs are just genetically overweight, as like any other species. He's one of them, we don't feed him irresponsibly or anything like that. He's well fed if that and has always been on a diet food.

I have a four year (coming on 5) year old male beagle who loves to play also. Small world huh :)? Dry diet food doesn't do much for animals to lose weight, so if it's a problem for you or him then try wet food.
