It seems to me that pretty much everything Bobby does demonstrates how insecure he is in his masculinity. Everything from freaking out when gary and jay didn't back him up in his threats to kill dane, to making a big deal about being in bed with Dane, to getting so offended by Jay disagreeing with him was just sad. he tries to make up for being a loser by haveing some kind of sluttier-than-thou attitude.
