  • Jesus Saves.

  • I'm a Christian.

I actually broke down in tears the other week because - believe it or not - I really miss Hitch. I wasn't "spoon-fed" my beliefs by any means; indeed they are the result of a great many years of trial and error, so it's a shame that Hitchens and I couldn't quite agree on that one issue. His naming of "anti-theism" as a popular practice is even more regrettable ... But he kept a healthy skepticism in me. Truth is I've followed him so long and I miss him. God bless you, Hitch.

  • There are some seriously fucked up people commenting on here. SERIOUSLY fucked up. Religious or not, If anyone here enjoys watching a man die of cancer, you need serious mental health attention. I think that's a fine example of what Hitchens meant when he said that 'religion makes potentially morally normal people do and say disgusting and wicked things'.

  • @AnDyPCLAM Furthermore, how can anyone consider themselves closer to God or for that matter a good follower of whatever religion they believe in...and wish for someone else to die? Wishing bad on an atheist is as much a sin as wishing bad on the Pope or your local pastor. Everyone here who is attacking a dead man based on religious grounds should take a look in the mirror and realise you are just proving Hitchens' point about you guys.

  • fuck cancer

  • Anyone who says "this is his punishment" - first, I'd like to congratulate you for being spoonfed for your entire pathetic existence. Second, I'd like to question your reasoning behind such a statement. A devout man dies of cancer, and it's claimed an act of "God." A devout man beats cancer with intense chemo, it's considered an act of "God."

Stop trying to bogart scientific treatment with religion. It's annoying. This isn't the Iron Age anymore.

  • It is incredibly sad to see one of the greatest advocate for atheism in our age die. An incredible smart, gifted orator and a strong personality to suit, it would have been an honor to meet this man in real life. And why people are so petty to watch this video and say 'enjoy hell' and all this shit. You are the reason why atheists needed a voice and why this man rose for us. Go fuck yourselves you religious kooks. With education comes enlightenment, it won't be long till atheism is dominate.

  • @Mr046001 its worse when they say god gave him cancer. To all people who think god gave hitchens cancer please look up Lance Armstrong

  • hitchens lives on ,I'm the next hitchens , theoreticalphysics.webs.com god is logic

  • Now this Christopher Hitchens can know if God exist or not by going to hell... And then he will regret being an atheist...Too late to change away from atheist now..

  • @MrBoomSonic That's such a lovely sentiment. You're clearly a very happy person. I'm absolutely certain that you are a true ambassador for your religion.

  • @MrBoomSonic Weeeeeeeell if "god" did this, then he's a malevolent dick-hole that can't take criticism, and is therefore unworthy of worship by anybody with a shred of self-respect.

  • @VenomShock that is expected of an atheist... False accusation without proof like atheism... What is the proof for atheism to be true and correct?

  • @MrBoomSonic Atheism isn't something that can be proven, because it is the lack of something. It's like asking someone to prove that a furgledeyfump isn't real. A furgledeyfump doesn't exist, and I certainly can't prove it doesn't exist because: How could I? How can something be proven NOT to exist when there's no basis for thinking it does in the first place? "False Accusation without proof like athiesm" You've got that backward, dude.

  • @MrBoomSonic Atheism isn't a "thing" that you prove. It draws the conclusion that without evidence it is very likely that what religion claims is nonsense. It also will claim that much of our scientific knowledge directly refutes biblical claims and supposed historical accounts.

So what are you talking about?

  • @MrBoomSonic And you know this because its in a book written by goat herders and fisherman. It's amazing what people will believe. Go fuck yourself!

  • @JesusChristisMuslim

Your god created us all, you say. OK. He gave us a mind to reason with and differentiate what is right and wrong. OK. If that is the case then any merciful god would be fine with Hitchens doing whatever his mind inspires him to do, which in turn means that it is hypocrisy to call him self-infatuating. His whims and desires are not to be obeyed, in fact he directly speaks to those of higher intelligence, ie. those that have no religious, superstitious beliefs.

    Get my drift?

  • @JesusChristisMuslim

Your god supposedly created him in his image.

Your god created this man 62 years ago. Calling it a 'very swift justice' is, well, wrong to say the least, don't you think?

This man is self-worshiping and self-infatuating and his memory is here to stay. After all, he made an impact on you believers. But really, is he worse off than you? Being a god-worshipping, god-infatuating person among MANY of whom won't be remembered in the larger perspective? No.

    Respond.

  • god is amazing for giving him cancer, cos my god is great...!

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus blah blah you'll burn in hell, blah blah you deserve too because God is amazing. How much of a man would this dillusion 'GOD' say that you are for pointing and sneering at a man with cancer?

atheist isn't evil, atheist is pure, completely pure. not pulluted brains that preach the holy and talk absolute rubbish.

you are not fit to comment on what makes someone a good person, Hitchens IS which is why 15000 watched this video.

You deserve to hang like Jesus you c*** piss off

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus you are a horrible person.

  • Wow -- I just saw on the news that he's dead!

  • Bad people do get cancer after all :)

  • @unapologeticmind So do good honest people, like Hitchens. Cancer doesn't discriminate, and there's no magic man in the sky doling it out to people. If there was, you'd have it because you're a shuit stain

  • @lumpheadthump Yup, watching Hitchens get devoured by cancer feels really great :) No, I'm not religious, I just like seeing really bad and nasty people like Hitchens die really slow and horrible deaths ;)

  • @unapologeticmind Well, that's because you're a shit stain

  • @lumpheadthump No, that's because I'm a secular humanist ;) Hitchens isn't human, he's a nasty lump of slime, I don't have compassion for biological waste materials ;)

  • @unapologeticmind You've proved my point that you're a stain of shit, a skid mark on the y-fronts of the universe

  • @unapologeticmind I meant "shit stain", sorry :)

  • lol lmao rofl,,,die real nice and slow like you limey scumbag.

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR Aw. Did Hitchens say something wrong about the magical sky daddy? :-)

  • Go to Israel, there are millions of other Jews there like Hitchens spouting hatred of Muslims and Christians.

  • @guydecervens Fucking Nazi scumbag.

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR Alot of people die of cancer, gun shot, car accident, old age...we all die some how....religion is for the weak hearted and foolish. Christopher Hitchens is a great thinker.

  • Thats gods was of saying hello

  • @hahameZX fuck you

  • I wish there is a way I can write him and thank him for the insight he added to my life. I was a struggling, depressed Christian. I went to a private school for 4 years, more sadly Baptist. I was taught for four years on how bad I was and how everything I do is bad. On top of that, I was the poor kid in school that everyone made fun of. Finally a good friend and fellow atheist recommended me God is Not Great. It gave me the insight and some basic arguments to take my stand as a happy atheist.

  • @Mc35091 I had my quivers, but now I am 17 years old and firmly established in my love of truth and reason. My love of science and history. He has helped further my education in many ways. I havent looked back since. I believe it is very true that a new wave of happiness washes over you when you finally realize religion is utter bullshit and you denounce it from your life. You feel truly free and it gives a new perspective on the beauty of the one life you have and everything in it. Thank You!

  • @Mc35091 i have a very similar story. except i was in christian education my entire life. i'm now going into my second year of college, where, upon arrival, i was finally allowed to think for myself. when i was finally able to question what had been forced down my throat, hitchens was (and is) one of the greatest influences that finally helped me see reason. or if anything else, to simply keep asking questions and actually research things for myself.

    cheers!

  • @EpicPhalure when i say "my entire life" i literally mean, from preschool up through my senior year of high school, but i hesitate to even call it that.

  • @Mc35091 good for you man no just don't forget to pass the word along

  • @Mc35091 haha, substitute "God is not Great" for "the Bible" and "Christian" for "depressed atheist/non-believer" and you'll sound just like those intolerable converted whom "found the light when the read the Bible...truth is there is no atheist, we all worship a thousand gods, Christians just believe in one more

  • @carlo88moe Lol that's rich.

  • @carlo88moe lulwut....

  • @Mc35091 i am intensely happy that you came out well in the end, i have a very similar story

  • @Mc35091 GOOD

  • He's too brilliant and important to go now. I hope he beats this.

  • Damn man, i hope he stays...

  • i hope he beats the odds!!!!!

  • Why should I not celebrate his death ?

    It's a war

He was celebrating Serbian deaths with vigor, and also Iraqi and others as well and

he was and still is a big protagonist of American/Israeli wars . He also profited from it

big time by writing phony books.

  • @gledalac1979 i'm simply curious, to what faith do you hold? after reading your last three comments, i, admittedly, was left confused how to reconcile them. it sounded like you meant in the first of the three that Hitchens deliberately avoided discussing Judaism (for fear of being defeated), but in your second, you spoke negatively of the Jews. did i misinterpret the first? i mean no offense, i simply would like to understand.

  • @Morgethein

Holocaust is a scam perpetrated by the jews to get money and install a jewish only state

Israel is a race based jewish only state. Actually what is described of the nazis

in the popular media is really judaism 101. Unfortunatelly nazis are not around

    to explain themselves.

Jewish involvment in nazi germany just like all the other global powers .

Google up "angela hitler" she was AH sister and she ran a jewish school.

That should tell you everything if you want to know.

  • @Morgethein : There's no such thing as Jewish ethnicity any more than there's Catholic or Buddhist ethnicity.

  • With any luck he'll crap out by Christmas.

  • Mr. Hitchens, I am an atheist. I can say that out loud today in large part because of you. Thank you.

  • @Miata822

Poor Hitch loves to bash christians and islam more or less but never so to judaism.

  • has this jewish nazi croacked yet so I can go out and celebrate?

  • please, pull through. the human race needs you to stay for at least a little while longer

  • The only one who can help him is God. Oh that's right Jesus and God are bastards to him so I guess he's on his own.

  • hero

  • Cancer cells are de-evolved, de-oxygenated cells. Please, it would be wise to raise your blood ph to as high as you can (possibly 14) so your blood can start carrying oxygen easier. Then all you have to do is oxygenate your body and you'll see the cancer cells start to magically disappear. This also means stop drinking for a good month and drink more water. Mr.Hitchens, you're a legend, and you should fight this cancer with all you've got. Best of luck with everything.

  • breakfast of champions anyone?

  • SHIT you have got to be kidding me. He's just gotta fight it; he's too damn important and he's been too much of an influence on me. You're a great guy, Mr. Hitchens, a true champion of morality and of free thought. I have so much respect and so much concern and I know there are thousands more like me. You are just too important.

  • hitchens getting cancer....some of the worst news ive ever heard

  • Keep goin strong christopher.

  • Calling Christopher Hitchens "controversial" is like saying a person who observes that a cloudless sky in daytime sunlight looks blue is mistaken.

Can we ever anymore summon up any inner integrity and honesty we pretend to possess to accurately portray a situation without stooping so low into the disgusting and foul habitual pit of utilizing a tiresomely popular allusion?

If you want to use the term 'controversial', you should place the charge against those who claim there is no blue sky.

  • Lol, two 'moral' christians disliked this video. That just says it all about religious people and the shallow depth of their beliefs of forgiveness and kindness.

  • Thank you...Prof. Hitchens. Will be more people like you in the future...We respect you.

  • Thank you...Prof. Hitchens. Will be more people like you in the future...

  • Peace and love Mr. Hitchens. Your words have done the World a power of good.

  • Love you, Hitch! Much love!!!

  • he should look into logic if he wants to get well

  • 5. Mostly atheist, are against GOD's morality and justice but never refer the same to other candidate: satan.

    6. Bible maintans evolution after creation, earth have billions of years etc.

    Atheism is a dead concept.

  • @diptdipt Nice C&P but I'm afraid you haven't made any points at all. You're not even stating facts with you're pasted spiel. Satan killed like six people in you're silly bible. You're god's biblical kill-count is estimated around 2,000,000 and among other things approves bigotry, slavery, and genocide. Why would any right-minded person be against that? And the bible's description of creation took from six days to 6k years. The earth is factually 4.54 billion years of age. DO I WIN?!

  • @bushiyo2 You see the point: by your words, Satan is better that GOD but you forget that you are an atheist. Even if satan would never kill somebody, you must argue with him cause he consider himself a god and asks to believe and serve him! Adam and Eve lived billions of years before they fell in sin. You win?! you even don't have logical arguments..

  • @diptdipt Right I am an atheist. I do NOT believe in you're god or you're "satan". The things a fictional book says about them doesn't matter to me. And I deffintly don't have to argue with him.. If you do you should see a psychiatrist. And you think adam and eve lived millions of years?? The oldest fuck in the bible was Methuselah at 969 years. And even that is fucking ridiculous. You're retarded. Plain and simple.

  • diptdipt

u dais; "Adam and Eve lived billions of years before they fell in sin. You win?! you even don't have logical arguments."

Do you have a scriptural reason for what you said here, or is it just some shit you made up as you go?

  • @diptdipt What informs your opinion?

  • And someone who does not fear the backlash of evil islam who can articulate with such pure logic against such faiths.

It would be a great loss not of an intellect but for mankind or higher primate he rather prefers to call us humans...

    Truly sad times.

  • My best wishes , to a great man . who helped me find freedom!!! Steve

  • I don't even know what to think.. I didn't know until today I should of been keeping up with him , all his talks are inspiring , I plan on reading his work , I'm saddened by this but I know if someone is in that 5% it's Hitchens..Much love to Christopher and his loved ones.

  • Who is the interviewer, John Wayne's brother?

  • He's got a similar body shape to Bill Hicks in the months before Hicks died...

  • Cancer hasn't got shit on Hitchens. Hitchen shall prevail, it is only a matter of time. Because he's awesome.

  • We Christians will pray for you. I know that you're an atheist, but it doesn't matter about winning against the debate; however, we are going to pray for your life and soul.

  • @KevinVang1000 if "it doesn't matter ." then why say it? It also does not matter that his head is bald or he is white or black, every thing does not matter in love .. Love to Hitch , Get well soon!

  • I am not sure if you're against me or for me...I'm really slow...

  • can someone please explain the 2 dislikes..how and why spring to mind...hes a warrior amongst men, lots a love to u Sir Hitchen

  • He looks good. Be strong.

  • Its very depressing watching a great intellectual speak at a google seminar then seeing him in such a hideous state. Christopher hitchens is an intellectual icon. And i will show his great debates an ideas to my children someday. Thank you christopher for speaking out against religious tyranny. I feel like our hearts our as one in such a vast subject.

  • I could just see old hitch tell god to fuck off in the after life.

  • i really hope he is one of the 5%

  • SORRY?! Who here thought probability was a mathematical topic?

@matt605 stfu mate you're already boring.

  • @pacmandem I find me erudite, entertaining, and sober. Not like Hitchens at all.

  • @matt605 Finding oneself erudite is nothing but arrogance. If you find yourself entertaining you need to get out more.

  • @pacmandem But to recap, Hitchens reveals that he has absolutely no scientific background at all when he confuses statistics with probability. How can people call him some sort of intellectual? He's just a sick drunk from what I see. Your love of your Dear Leader Christopher must be clouding your judgment. That's permissible in America. We respect the right of people to practice their religion.

  • @matt605 You're not recapping. You're trying to ram your point home; to no avail.

  • @pacmandem Hitchens shows his lack of scientific background when he confuses probability and statistics. How can your Dear Leader Christopher be without scientific training if he is representing the scientific community? Well, he could represent them as their religious leader. And in America, that's perfectly alright. We're tolerant of religion here.

  • @matt605 Oh my good god. Why the fuck are you still talking? I DO NOT CARE.

1 - I don't even like Hitchens much, so your persistence in calling him 'my dear leader' merely shows ignorance and a lack of creativity on your part; come up with something different. 2 - to most people 'probablility' and 'statistics' are interchangable, NO ONE CARES (except you). Stop clutching at straws.

  • @matt605 cont'd. Lastly, probability and and stats are mathematical topics. Yes, they have scientific applications but they're both still maths.

Stop being such a fucking pedant; I'm sure if I hadn't wrote this sentence you'd've no doubt highlighted the fact I abbreviated 'statistics'.

Go out, get some friends, stop finding yourself so erudite and entertaining, because no one here finds you either.

  • daobagua wrote, "What was wrong with saying the statistics are five percent. I understood what he was saying perfectly. I think you are grasping at straws to critisize him. Sad." It's just that he reveals he has absolutely no scientific background. Hitchens worships science, but it seems he failed to complete a single science course at Oxford.

  • @matt605 A lack of a piece of paper does not indicate whether a person has a good knowledge of the subject. For example, you are most probably not a medical doctor, but you know what a brain is right?

  • @petem2010 Sure, I know what a brain is even though I am not a doctor, but I don't write and talk about the human brain as a medical professional. Hitchens regularly speaks about evolution science, but he doesn't even know what a probability is. Does he have any scientific background at all?

  • @matt605 Just because he made a slight flippant error in his wording does not indicate he is less knowledgable in science or that he does not understand what a probability is. I would bet a large sum of money he knows what a probability is. Again as he person below stated, you are just clutching at straws.

  • @petem2010 It's just that it makes him looks so stupid. He relentlessly nit-picks, badgers, and mocks religion everywhere and that's considered intellectual. But when someone points up where he errs, then that's picayune and clutching at straws. The unevenly applied standard reveals just how much Hitchens is actually a religious leader rather than a scholar. His supporters have a blind, religious faith in him, and reject all criticism of him.

  • @matt605 I think it is just a case that we agree with a lot of what he says. His views are those I have had for a long time, he just words it much better and gives great arguements.

  • @matt605 I think it is just a case that we agree with a lot of what he says. His views are those I have had for a long time, he just words it much better and gives great arguements.

  • @matt605 You sir, are a walking ass.

  • @Vilemk0 I'm sitting on my ass. How can I be walking if I am sitting? See how stupid Hitchens and his disciples are?

  • @matt605 Are you always so stupid or is today a special occasion? Ever heard of the man with a horses ass for a mouth? That's all you've proven yourself to be in the last few comments. Running diarrhea at the mouth with no compelling content in sight. "He relentlessly nit-picks, badgers, and mocks religion everywhere and that's considered intellectual." I can't believe you believe you! It's hilarious! Please, say some more.

We're all interested to hear what you find "intellectual."

  • @Vilemk0 " man with a horses ass for a mouth" This must be some new evolutionary find! I have plenty more to say about Hitchens. He just looks stupid when he confuses statistics and probability. And it's so disappointing to know that he's the best that evolution science can present for itself. His debating style that everyone comments upon is that of a drunk. He talks over others, interrupts, and then won't shut up and let anyone else speak. What a bore.

  • @matt605 "This must be some new evolutionary find!" Lmfao Okay I admit, this made me laugh.

    I concede this pointless argument.

  • It's not that the "statistics are five percent." It's that the probability of survival is five percent. Why is Hitchens so ignorant of the most basic, elementary scientific terms?

  • This guy is a smart guy, don't get me wrong but I can't take pity or feel sorry for him what so ever because he did this to himself. His father has esophageal cancer, and he smoked like a chimney. I feel that him talking about his disease and looking all sad is sad to see a smart guy make stupid decisions. I love this guy's opinions on religion, but I do not feel sorry for him.

  • See.What.Happens.When.You.Bash.God.??

    hahahahahahahah

    Die

  • @ShadowNinjaStep Fuck you and everyone that looks like you

  • @ShadowNinjaStep oh what a great set of qualities to have in a deity... a petty, spiteful, shit god

  • @ShadowNinjaStep

    You should go die.

And you know what, I might want god to be real, so he can kill you, and your death would be that much awesomer!

  • You have to fight for you life Chris! Life is one! Humanity needs you!

  • one of the greatest minds of the past 100 years. I "pray" he survives his cancer

  • he's amazing.

  • My thoughts are with you, Hitch

  • this makes me really sad. he's such an important figure and you know how the fundamentalists will react to this

  • Can't wait to hear the christians say he must have pissed off god or god is giving him a sign that he exists......by giving him cancer....

  • @dredsdomain already happened. they're all claiming that.

  • Hitchens needs Russel Crowe to battle his cancer

  • 匚卄尺工ち匕口ㄗ卄モ尺 .....卄工匕匚卄モれち 1949 - ∞

GET WELL TRIBUTE ON MY PAGE!

  • your a great person and someone we need in this world of blind faith which leads to violence and destroy our ability to see the real reasons for our conflicts.

    thank you christopher

    much love from israel

  • shedmeraked

    Well said, and appreciated.

I hate seeing this brilliant and courageous man look the way he does now. We can only hope that the treatments will work...bcuz prayer sure the hell doesn't!

My best wishes and thoughts are with him.

I truly love and respect this man, along with the honor and courage he has demonstrated over the years.

  • @shedmeraked *you're

  • @PortalTutorials sorry, i didnt understand what you were trying to say,

i'm not all that familiar with computer talk (as i always say... i'm an acustic guy [yes i'm a musician])

    so ..... what?

  • "Well, I ought to never say there's nothing would change my mind. So, shall I just say that no evidence has - or argument - has yet been presented that would change my mind. But I like surprises."

    Awesome.

  • If I was a Christian I would be praying for Hitchens!

  • @doyoublush I am a man who does not believe in everything he says and less in how he says it. I am an agnostic who thinks atheism is the extrem "going the other way", but I do not like seeing his condition. It reminds me though of David Hume who did not change his views on his death bed. Instead he told jokes to his guests.

  • @REASONINFUSION

I hate when people say that they are agnostic as if that is even a choice on the matter. Theism and Atheism are based in BELIEF, Gnosticism and Agnosticism are based on KNOWLEDGE. You can't believe AND disbelieve in something, but you can disbelieve OR believe in something and say that you don't know for sure. I'm an agnostic atheist, I don't believe due to a lack of evidence, The existence of any God/gods is improbable, but anything is possible.

  • @joshmonster94 An agonostic like mtself and Bertrand Russell are people who believe that atheism is "the extreme going the other way". It is the most logical choice although one can lean to one side or the other in how they live their lives. Poeple think David Hume was an atheist, but he was shocked and a tad distrubed by the atheists he met in france. YOU CAN SAY THAT YOU DON'T KNOW!!!! and quite frankly humans should say it more rather than attempt to sound profound. One a personal level, I

  • @joshmonster94 2) on a personal level, and as a black man, i think the idea of "religion" should be widened since racism in america has been even stronger in the light of the fact that the people who lynched and burned blacks for the slightest "offenses" would have us think they were christian (Muslims and Jews also have their share of sickos). Add to that capitalists who have never read marx (or for that matter, Adam Smith) and in the face of hunger and joblessness swear that the "people" ..

  • @REASONINFUSION

3)"the people who lynched and burned blacks for the slightest "offenses" would have us think they were christian"

It was a very disgusting time in history, but not only did the church prohibit it, so did their books, as long as the person in question didn't die, or if they had actually committed a slight offence, you could, potentially, torture and beat them as much as you wanted. It's sad that this kind of thing isn't brought up, that people still believe in the same things.

  • @joshmonster94

*Meant to be read with a much less aggressive tone than I got when rereading it* I need to start typing in a way that doesn't make me sound like I'm really angry, because I'm not.

  • @joshmonster94 My point is the same as several psychologists in that we are preprogrammed to believe in the fantastic. Superior races (ironically asians who fit the bill closer, if you go on their IQ tests, think the notion is rather foolish, agreeing with Malcolm Gladwell and others who sight hard work, persistence, focus, and the delay of gratification.) and other beliefs that provide needed comfort from reality. That being the case Religion as you define it does not "cover"

  • @joshmonster94 Religion and how you define it does not "cover" the likes of Stalin and other "atheist" butchers. The human will find a means of supporting his beliefs religion or not because he is ceative in that evil way.

  • @REASONINFUSION

there is a difference between Stalin and Hitler, Hitler killed in the name of, and following the commandments of, his god, he followed the rules set forth by his religion. Atheism HAS no such commandments, and nowhere do we say that murdering millions is alright, it is simply not believing in what the other side does, so Stalin wasn't following any 'set atheist standard', he was making his own, and it was wrong in every way. So you are right, but when we can, we should get rid of

  • @joshmonster94: actually Adolf Hitler's racial theories were based on social Darwinism. “The stronger has to rule and must not mate with the weaker,” he wrote in Mein Kampf. am not a christian but to suggest that Hitler killed in the name of god is ludicrous. what does euthenics have to do with Christianity? he did use Christianity to rally up the people. 20th century bloodiest century in history had nothing to do with religion. just goes to show with or without religion humans suck.

  • @elipse135

Killing off those who aren't like you is supported by the bible. What does euthenics have to do with Christianity? Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT, those who hold this faith are supposedly superior, those who don't are inferior and deserve their death. He was killing those he BELIEVED to be weaker. Now, whether he believed the religious shit he spewed is anyone's guess, maybe he WAS just using it to support his position, but all we have are writings/speeches of a madman.

  • @joshmonster94: whatever. he's basis for all the genocides was because he believed in social Darwinism and not because he was christian. whatever you do you cant deny that. million upon millions of death in the 20th century had nothing to do with religion.if not religion then it would be nationalism/racism good old they have oil lets kill them for it. if you want to stop violence get rid of all humans, that the problem at the end of the day.

  • @elipse135

Would that NOT be a violent course of action?

  • @joshmonster94: well it would be but after that no more violence ... unless of curse you count animal on animal violence LOL. i just believe this lets hate religion is a cop out for what the problem really is..humanity. sometimes were really great sometimes we suck beyond believe and cause so much harm.

Yeah, but we should get rid of these reasons to cause pain and start violence, Religion gives people a way to rationalize these violent behaviors, We should get rid of as many ways to rationalize violence as possible, Religion is just one of the easier ones to get rid of, the spread of knowledge is the only way to reasonably combat it. Then we can set our focus on the next Way, and the next, until we reach one that can't be influenced by our intervention, (most likely Humanity itself)

  • @joshmonster94:i don't actually believe in killing all humans or any for that matter am just pointing out if it weren't religion it would be tribalism. actually if you give me a time a war was based solely on religion alone and it wasn't to excuse to getting the 'enemy's' wealth in someway i would be surprised. that you think that you would ever get ride of religion is so naive. its easier to teach ppl about history and teach them how former rulers took advantage of their ppl for their own gain.
