Two things, the voice at 1:44 is NOT Robert Crippen, it is the Engineering Director.
The angle form the north at 1:54-1:59 is aweomse! They don't use that view anymore, except for when it is zoomed in really tight on the bottom of the vehicle in high resolution for tracking purposes.
@zellco321 Yeah, Crippen was head of The Mission Management team in the late-1980's but that voice was the Engineering Director, on this launch and other late-80's early 90's launches. In fairness, a couple other news broadcasts played that same "goodluck and godspeed" soundbite and also mistakenly attributed it to Crippen.
I watched this launch in my elementary school library!
