The only difference with Hef is that he's always maintained an honesty about sex that is sadly lost among the increasingly hypocritical American society. How would it be better if he married a "respectable" woman and had the hot 20-somethings on the side like every other rich man? Men will always be criticised for their lies and their honesty just the same.

But I grew up with Playboy pre feminisim, and have to take issue with his blatant sexual exploitation of women. Hefner made young busty women more of an object than they ever were. He also made men think women had to be young and big busted in order to be desireable. A very limited outlook and certainly not very spiritual. Hef is 83 and hasn't evolved one bit.

@sohooded How is exploiting sex appeal for profit any different to exploiting beauty, talent, intellect, or learned skills for profit? Women ARE the sex objects for men and vice-versa; sex is transitive and thereby requires an object to act upon (as in "object of my affection"). Hef didn't make men think anything, he merely printed what there was and still is a large demand for. Pornography is not intended to be "spiritual"; I think you're buying far more into sexual commerce than is intended.

Minors cannot possibly "sell" sex; the only children involved in the sex industry are those who have been either sold or kidnapped, and are being sexually abused in order to profit someone else. Really, if you're going to argue something is immoral on the grounds that it's unsuitable for children, you'll have to consider anything remotely sexual 'immoral'. Your right... The air date of this episode was in February of 1969, meaning that it would have been filmed a couple of months before, just before she got pregnant. :(
