Karabagh is Artsakh a historic and modern part of ARMENIA It always was Armenia and always will be. The part of Karabakh that always had the Armenian majority population is the mountainous Karabakh, which is more or less the territory of the former NKO. Right now Armenians control most of the mountainous and lower Karabakh. Hundreds of thousads of Azeris were forced to flee. Most of them were from lower Karabakh. The only Russian unit during the time of conflict was 366th regiment in Karabakh. You can't even count it as Russian since 50% of them were Armenians. It was withdrawn into Georgia in 1992.

All Azeri planes downed over Karabakh had Russian pilots. Chechens headed by Basayev and Afghans who fought in the war on the side of Azeris also don't count?Why?
